History • In 1975, after the signing of the

JBNQA, there was rapid development in the area.

• Businesses such as CCDC were created, to be able to benefit from employment opportunities which arose due to the James Bay Project.

• In 1982, BOC invested in creating CREECO Inc.

CREE CONSTRUCTION DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (CCDC)

• Cree Construction was incorporated in 1976

• CCDC’S primary purpose is to build the native community and economic infrastructure by developing and delivering construction projects within Eeyou Istchee that will provide opportunities for the Cree Nation while maximizing profits and delivering quality work on time and on budget.

• Designed to reinstate public trust in the contract awarding process

• Bonding capacity to meet the requirements of almost any job

• CCDC was the first aboriginal entity to obtain ISO certification in Canada.

Human Resources

• CCDC and partners employ between 400 and 850 employees per year depending on number and type of contracts

• Average 300-350 aboriginal employees per year

• 96% of Commission de la Construction du Quebec (CCQ) competency cards given to Crees from 2002 to 2006 were obtained by CCDC and Joint Venture Partners • Building capacity of our people

Human Resources & Contracts

• CCDC and JV partners have paid over $120M in First Nation salaries over the past 14 years.

• Cree and other First Nation Suppliers have been awarded over $100M in contracts for Materials, equipment rental and Subcontract work.

• Since 2003,more than $230 M to First Nation members.

Gestion ADC (1996) Inc. and its partnerships provide more than 450 jobs each year. Most of them are held by Native employees. Our annual contribution includes: $16 565 000 in salaries to Native employees $625 000 in services from Native businesses
