What is a Technical Data Package?

• A single container comprised of a collection of one

or more documents that contain all of the

information needed to completely define a product

and its requirements

• Generally a combination of 3D data, metadata and

PMI although can contain much more

• Industry Standard formats: JT, 3D PDF, STEP

• Interactive documents: embedded 3D model

viewing

• US Military Standard: MIL-STD-31000A
