Many of your employees may consider Aflac to be a necessity.

Major medical plans focus on paying medical and hospital expenses, while Aflac pays benefits that can help with:

•Medical expenses not covered by the primary medical insurance, such as deductibles, copayments, prescriptions, etc.•Additional expenses if the employee must leave the medical plan’s provider network.•Charges beyond what’s reasonable.

How much do you think your employees should pay in case of an accident or illness?

Aflac helps your employees.

Our plans pay benefits that can be used toward:

Additional expenses, such as:• Round-trip travel expenses to special treatment centers• Food and lodging• Child care• Additional help at home• Long-distance calls

Personal expenses, such as:• House payment• Car payment• Food purchases and utility payments

Loss of income:Meeting financial obligations during the loss of work is very difficult, especially when a

paycheck is not coming in. In a home where the expenses are shared, the consequences could be devastating if the healthy spouse is forced to stop working to care for the other.

Common characteristics of our insurance policies

• Employees collect the benefits check directly (unless specified otherwise).

• Policies are sold separately—when a claim is made, your employees can receive benefits from all applicable policies.

• Benefits are paid independently of other insurance.• Renewal is guaranteed for life, as long as premiums are

paid.• We process the majority of claims in approximately four

business days (Company statistics, December 2007).
