Ma’aden exploration programs outlined mine promising deposit
areas in the region of Al Jalamid (Northern Region of KSA)
The phosphate rock will be transported by rail after treatment
(beneficiation) to a fertilizer complex at Ras Az Zawr on the
East cost, for conversion into Diammonium Phosphate fertilizer
(for export)

Overall site, 4 main plants at Ras Az Zawr:
The Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP) will receive solid sulphur (rocks)
and convert it into H2SO4
The Phosphoric Acid Plant (PAP) will receive H2SO4 and phosphate
rock and convert it into 48% H3PO4
The Ammonia Plant will receive, in parallel, natural gas and convert
it into NH3
The Diammonium Phosphate Plant (DAP) will receive ammonia
and 48% H3PO4 and convert it into granular Diammonium Phosphate
for export
