The Beatles were undoubtedly the most influential band of the 20th century. In a course of 8 years, they changed not only rock and roll, but also the face of all music forever. the band went through several members, the more noteworthy of these would be John Lennon's closest friend Stuart (Stu) Sutcliffe - born June 23, 1940, Edinburgh, Scotland, dead April 10, 1962, Hamburg, Germany - (on bass guitar) and Pete Best - born 1941, Liverpool, England - (the drummer before Ringo).

Their appearances in every show were always excellent and their fashions in clothes and hairstyles influenced a generation of young people. Most of The Beatles songs were written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Their lyrics were sweet, simple and memorable. Their first recordings " Love Me Do " (1962) and "Please Please Me" (1963) reached the highest position in the British charts.

Beatlemania began in Britain on 13 October 1963 with a televised appearance at the London Palladium.

Beatlemania exploded in the United States with three national television appearances by the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show on 9 February, 16 February and 23 February 1964. In 1964 they held the top five places on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat that has never been repeated.

In 1967they focused all of their effort on recording, and after 700 hours in the studio, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was hailed as a revolutionary album. It's complexity and creativity forever raised the bar for all future recording artists.

Arguments between the band members was making it increasingly difficult to concentrate on collaborative efforts. In 1969, largely due to McCartney's efforts, they recorded their final album, Abbey Road. The band officially broke up in 1970 and a few months later Let It Be followed as their last commercial album release

`Abbey Road´, whose cover of the Beatles in a zebra crossing became so famous, is considered to be their `good bye´ album. Nevertheless, after so many years, they still own fanatical fans all over the world and many of their songs have remained evergreen up to the present time.
