Our day began at seven in the morning with the prayer of lauds. Today’s liturgy was prepared by Chile.

Faith, is to see with the eyes of God, what He sees.

Faith, is nothing but abandoning oneself in the hands of God in good times as well as in difficulties.

Faith, is to discover the seeds of the Spirit, to live seeing the INVISIBLE.

Faith, is to wait knowing that the impossible is possible.

Faith is to see God in nature, in people, in the suffering, in the bread broken and shared.

Faith is to believe in the power of prayer, in the strength of the weak, in the goodness of the brethren.

“Lord, I’m not worthy”. We can say that the miracle was not the healing of Centurion’s servant but the faith of the Centurion.

Tomorrow Chile will commence the National Holidays and Sr. Lidia

Mardones, the demarcation Superior gave each one a

«little gift» and asked us to make a special prayer for the

Church of Chile as it is undergoing a lot of suffering

during these moments of history.

A visual presentation and a prayer helped us to invoke Spirit’s presence in our assembly.

We followed the same rhythm: personal reflection, sharing in groups and working out in the Assembly

This will take us until lunch time. Depending on our progress, further work will be distributed in the afternoon .

Soon the day’s work is presented: We begin with Chapter V: Life of prayer and its Applicative Norms.

Today’s moderator is Sr. Luz Marina and the session began with the reading and approval of the minutes.

Our afternoon work continued in the assembly.

Monseñor Jose Rodriguez Carballo, secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life was supposed to come, but… we do not know yet what has happened, but…. He didn’t appear. We were all ready to listen to him, some had even put on their best attire and ….. Nothing.

We couldn’t complete Chapter V.

Where is Monsignor?

He spoke to us on power and service because as Jesus said, whoever wants to be the first among us will have to be the servant, whoever wants to be great will have to be humble and we will never reach the degree of humiliation to which our Lord had reached.

We had to ask “help” from our Carmelite fathers and here comes again Fr. Albert Walch ocd, rector of Teresianum, (Polish), who presented himself as Monsignor. We had a good laugh and he celebrated the Eucharist of the feast of St. Albert of Jerusalem who has so much to do with Carmel, there in Haiffa, in Mount Carmel, the mount of the Virgin.

To be honest, his absence had its own advantages! in its own way. Because The capitulars had finished Chapter V: Life of prayer! ¡Constitutions and Norms! Whatever lets them to go early to bed, they are comfortable.

With the satisfaction of having completed the work and the tranquility of having found the positive part of the mistake of Monsignor we thank the Lord for this day and we avail ourselves to rest.

See you tomorrow, God willing!
