Premiered on the 18th edition of La Bienal de Flamenco, the biggest flamenco event worldwide, Anabel Veloso designs a tribute to Jules Verne’s play througout “Around the World in Eighty Days”, “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” and “Journey to the Center of the Earth”.
Like the stories we read as children, the ones that whisked us away to other worlds, to different cultures, Flamencoland is a new universe based on the illusion that flamenco is found all over the world.We embark on a fascinating, epic story with dancers, musicians and actors, discovering other cultures and loving our own. The kids laugh and want to jump up onto the stage to become part of the adventure and celebrate the victory of dance with the flamenco team.
A very entertaining journey which combines theatre and flamenco dancing and with the aim of promoting the value of our most universal cultural expression and our admiration for music and dances in the world.
