Present Tense Verbs

Level 2

• We use singular and plural subjects in English.

Singular: boy

Plural: boys

• Our present tense verbs will need to agree with our subjects.

» The boy LIKES pizza.

» The boys LIKE pizza.

• We add an -s to the end of the verb to match the subject.

NOTE: The only time you add an –s to the end of the verb is when you use the third person singular!
