Achievements in Career
1. Successfully managed Central computer Facility of CET for more than 10years
2. Due to my strong efforts and by the support of higher officials I could conductmore than 10 Nos. of orientation programs for the Engineering students belongsocially, economically and educationally backward classes , in Trivandrumdistrict under the sponsorship of TEQIP, PTA etc. In that programme, all thestudents had been provided with course materials, light refreshments, busfacilities etc. Professors, Qualified Lab staff , M Tech students, Academicallyexcelling B Tech final year students were the tutors of this training programmewithout accepting any remuneration.
More than 40 students who attended the programs got placements in reputedcompanies (IOC, MRF, ITC, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, CTS etc) in the year2011. In addition, one student got admission in IIM Culcutta, one gotadmission in IIT Kanpur and 3 nos. of students got admission in NITs. In2012, more than 30 students got placements in reputed companies. More than10 students qualified for admission to M Tech programs.
Based on the above result, Government of Kerala has started such programsin all Government Engineering colleges by accepting the orientation programsin CET as a model by naming the program “OPES under STEP4U”. Anamount of Rs 2.5 Crore has been sanctioned from SC/ST development fundfor the said program. In that, Rs 1.25 Crore has been spent to SC and STstudents in CET to support their studies. Through the sponsorship all the SCand ST students have been provided with course materials. All the SC and STstudents, who had stayed in outside hostel by paying rent, have been providedwith accommodation charges. All the day scholar students who belong to SCand ST community have been provided with travelling allowances. All thestudents , irrespective of cast who had attended the programmes have beenprovided with refreshments. All the tutors irrespective of students andteachers, have been provided with honorarium for engaging classes. Theprogramme could develop motivation to weaker students to improve theiracademics. Also the programme gave motivation to academically excellingstudents to develop their skill for presentation and teaching, which helpedthem to acquire jobs in reputed organizations like IOC, BPCL, ONGC etc aswell as helped them to acquire admissions for higher studies in institutions like

IITs and NITs. I could reduce the failure rate of SC and ST studentsconsiderably by these training programs.
In 2016 the funding from the Government was stopped. But due to my specialinterest and dedicated efforts, the same has been continuing by the sponsorshipof Rs25000/- from PTA per year, only to provide refreshments for thestudents who are attending orientation classes.
In 2018, 2019 and 2020, with the special interest from the Principal I havealso initiated orientation programmes exclusively for Lateral entry students. These programme are now continuing . The are also helping many LE studentsto build their confidence for passing examinations.
Still, I am maintaining good relations with all the students who had attendedOPES since 2007. Some among them who had been employed in reputedinstitutions are voluntarily helping poor students in CET with my request andrecommendations. I believe that God has given me the opportunity to upliftmany students, especially from financially poor backgrounds, through suchorientation programmes.
3. Guided more than 13 B Tech Projects and 12 M Tech thesises. Alsoevaluated more than 30 Nos. of M Tech thesis in MG, University of Keralaand Dr. Abdul Kalam Technologcal University.
4. Published 20 technical papers
5. Successfully carried out Traffic Management system during the visit by ThePresident of India, Sri. Pranab Mugharji to inaugurate Patinum JubileeCelebrations of College of Engineering Trivandrum
6. Participated the address and interactive session of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalamwith students and teachers in College of Engineering Trivandrum
7. Associated with all the Heads of Departments, Principals in CET and all theDirectors of Technical Education since 2000 in various students welfareactivities.
8. Established a Computer centre at CET, exclusively for girls, at Ladies hostel ,with the sponsorship of Rs 36.47 Lakhs from SCDD, f Government of Kerala.

9. Acquired PhD from CUSAT, under the supervision of Dr. Narayanan at Dept.of Ship Technology.
10. I have been maintaining a good relationship with all the Principals, all thedepartment heads, Staff advisors in all the departments since 2007.
11. I have been maintaining a good relationship with all the Directors of TechnicalEducation since 2010 to till date.
12. Could help various NGOs and NSS volunteers for flood relief activities inKerala.
Major strengths:
1. Hardworking, Dedicated, Willing to motivate and help poor students,Ready to take permitted risks for the welfare of students from socially, economically and educationally backward classes
Major Weaknesses:
1. Slightly short-tempered, Find very difficult to manage personal matterswithin the time available. Cannot say “no” to deserving students who needany type of help for their academic activities.
