    1- INTRODUCTION:

    This Mining plan is submitted to fulfil requirement of rule of MPMMR (42)

    1996 for proposed/Existing quarry lease. State Govt. Issued directions for

    preparation of mining plan of quarry lease vide M.P. Gazette notification dated

    23/03/2013. The quarry lease has been renewed for period of 10 year through

    The proposed quarry lease area is located at a distance of 25 kms. In

    South from the district headquarter Jabalpur. The Ghutiya Stone Quarry for

    which quarry plan is being prepared located in the jurisdiction of Village –

    Ghutiya, Tehsil & District – Jabalpur of M.P. The quarry lease area is located on

    Survey of India Toposheet No 55M/16 and bounded between the latitude &

    longitude /location of boundary pillars.

    TOPOGRAPHY-:

    Topographically the sanction area is undulating area. Highest elevation 461 m in

    northern part while level is 459 in southern part of QL area, thus total average

    elevation different 2 m.

    Climate

    The climate of the area is generally dry except during the south-west monsoon season. The monsoon sets in generally during June and continues till the end of September. The annual rainfall of the area is between 1000 and 1100 mm. The mean daily maximum temperature goes about 40°C and mean minimum at about 26°C during summer. During winter the mean daily maximum

    temperature goes at about 25 0 C and the mean daily minimum at about 10°C.

    Except during the south-west monsoon season, when the relative humidity is above 70 percent, the air is generally dry over the year.

    Flora & Fauna - Regionally the area fall under subtropical climate zone and sustaining

    dry tropical land. No trees are seen in the applied quarry lease area. Apart from this

    many varieties of grass creeper and climate are found. The applied area is gentle

    rolling topography of waste land and no flora presently available. No wild life is

    reported in the area.

    INFRASTRUCTURE

    During the scheme period mine office, separate toilet for men and women and

    shelter room will be constructed and first aid facilities will be enhanced

    WATER

    Hand Pump Facility is available in lease area and also at village Ghutiya. There are

    no surface water bodies; drinking water is made available from dug well near the

    applied area. Ground water level is below the conceptual pit depth proposed as per

    the present knowledge of deposit. After the completion of mining operations in this

    area the surface water is likely to be contaminated due to wash off from the dust

    prone area the same be controlled by adequate plantation before the conceptual

    period is over.

    ELECTRICITY

    Electric line is present lease area and also in village Ghutiya at 1.5 Km. Distance.

    MANPOWER

    Man power is easily available from the surrounding villages.

    CHAPTER – 4

    REGIONAL GEOLOGY:-

    Regionally the sectioned area occupied by Mahakaushal and lower Vindhyan mainly

    composed of meta basis, intrusive amphibolites followed by rocks of Mahakaushal

    Group of rock which mainly consist of Phyllites dolomitic marbles and quartzite

    then followed by Jungle Group mainly consist of conglomerated Shales and siltstone

    then followed by vidhyan Group Structurally both primary and secondary structure

    have been developed. The rocks have been subjected to polyphase deformation and

    two sets of joints have developed.
