• Decentralized HIS (data are available and usable in different level of health care).

• Coordinate with different health Program managers to make their products responsive to the nature of data usage in emergency and disaster.

• Regular updates of statistics required for emergency responses

• Central Health information department in collaboration with environmental & Occupational health department and other end-users have the responsibility of setting standards, controlling quality and overseeing the use of information.

• Periodic assessment carried out to measure the extent of information use and to devise measures for improvement.





• Strengthen evidence-base to inform management, health planners, health care providers.

• Improvement of tools for health data management and better understanding of their use in emergency and disaster response

• Increase dialogue between national, regional and international organizations and actors working in emergency and disaster response.

• Make use of AlShifa program in health institutions and provide Electronic linkage between regions to ease the flow of data transfer, particularly during disasters.

• Introducing GIS in order to increase the efficiency of the Health information system (through integration)
