IRISH SETTER CLUB OF AMERICACOVID-19 PROTOCOLS

1. Cooperation and following instructions and directions of all venue staff, event committee,club members, event officials, or any other persons of authority for the event is required.2. DUE to COVID-19 BE AWARE. The Governor of Maryland mandates may changeand will be enforced. All current state, city, county, and local guidelines must be followedby everyone in attendance at these events. COVID protocols could change at any time. 3. THIS EVENT IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.4. A wrist band will be given to each person after a signed COVID waiver is submittedBEFORE ENTRANCE IS PERMITTED ONTO THE SHOW GROUNDS. The wrist band mustbe worn at all times during the National Event, both indoors and outdoors on show grounds. There will be NO ADMITTANCE to the show site property without a wrist band. NOEXCEPTIONS.5. All directional signs for building entry and exit must be adhered to.6. Face masks MUST be worn at all times when on show site property, both indoors andoutdoors, per MD Covid protocols, NO EXCEPTIONS. 7. Social distancing will be enforced as is consistent with protocols in effect at the timeof the event.8. Sanitize hands as frequently as possible.9. Avoid shaking hands, hugging or physical contact with people and avoid touching dogsthat are not your responsibility.10. Social distancing is required at all show rings. 11. Chairs allowed ringside-6 feet back and 6 feet apart. Area will be marked.12. NO fans are allowed ringside. Fans will be allowed facing your set-up grooming area.13. Crating allowed in Grooming area- 6 feet apart. Area will be marked.14. No Chairs or Spectators will be allowed under show tent.

THESE PROTOCOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE ACCORDING TOCOVID MANDATES

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breathor difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of tasteor smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, etc.

AKC SANCTIONED 4-6 MONTHS PUPPY JUDGE: ROBERT ROBINSON

One combined class will be offered for breeds of dogs that are (4) four months & under (6) six months AnAKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entries. A foreign born dog may enter thisclass if they are registered in the country of origin.

Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in orderto avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized.

Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handledby a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belongedto a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or representedthemselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistantsor household members of a professional handler. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by aprofessional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show duringthe cluster/weekend. Minors (under 18) with amateur status who reside with professional handlers and currentassistants to professional handlers that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age and amateurstatus requirements) may personally exhibit dogs in the Four-to-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition.

AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition.All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unlessthese regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges.Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of considerationin the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show Competition.

PEE WEE JUNIOR HANDLER SPECIAL ATTRACTIONPEE WEE JUDGE: ROBERT ROBINSON

• Child must be between the ages of five and nine years• A dog must be at least four months of age to enter the Pee Wee Class• Bitches in season will not be allowed to participate. If pre-entered, a dog may be substituted that meets

the eligibility requirements as specified by the Club.• All dogs entered must have the proper lead and collar.• A responsible adult must be present with the child both inside and outside the ring. The adult is to maintain

control of the dog outside the ring.• In addition to an entry, a release must be signed by the child's parent or legal guardian. This release

will be available on site and must be signed before going into the ring.• There will be no charge for this event.• The safety of both the dogs and Juniors inside and outside the ring is a primary concern. Outside of the

ring, the dog is to be controlled by the adult accompanying the child.• An additional lead, provided by the Club, will be at the Judge's table. At the judge's discretion based upon

the size of the child and the dog, for safety purposes the adult may be asked to attach a second leadto the dog so both child and adult will walk the dog together.

All Pee Wee Participants, Rainbow and Gold Rosette.

DO NOT SEND TO RAU FILL OUT AND BRING TO RING - 15 MINUTES BEFORE TIME TO SHOW

NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIESThe AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their ownersthat are not professional handlers. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the timeof entry on the entry form. Dogs entered in the Amateur-Owner-Handler class will automatically be markedas eligible to compete in the NOHS. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge's book, steward'sbook & the catalog. Professional handlers,* household members and current assistants to professionalhandlers** may not exhibit. Dogs must be handled by an eligible owner/handler for the AKC NOHS throughoutthe breed level (all classes, Winners, and Best of Breed) competition.Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breedcompetition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.• If the Best of Breed winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner-Handled

Best of Breed.• If the Best of Breed winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of Opposite Sex

to Best of Breed is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed will compete against the eligibleexhibits of the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed.

• If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed are Owner-Handled competitioneligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibitfrom the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.

• No class dogs other than the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog EntriesNote: Non-regular classes involving multiple entries may be judged before or after Best of Breed. As the judge'sdecision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making upthe entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex to Bestof Breed by virtue of having won the class. Stud Dog Class and Brood Bitch Class: Each entry is shown with not less than two nor more than fourof their get. The merits of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch are not considered in the placement of the entry. Itis the quality of the get that forms the basis for the judge's decision. All get must be examined and gaited.The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must also be examined to determine if there is a condition that would requiredisqualification or excusal under the Rules, AKC policy or the breed standard. All get must be entered ina regular class in order to be eligible to compete in the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch Class. Handlers of the StudDog or Brood Bitch, and all get being exhibited, must wear armbands. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the "Rules Applyingto Dog Shows" provides that "a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class anda spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class."

Brace Class: Two Dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogscompeting in the brace class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in anyother class. Dogs comprising a Brace Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars mustbe given for each dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Brace is not entered in anotherclass, it must be entered for "Brace Class only." An entry form for a dog entered in another class and enteredas part of a Brace must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as "Brace Class."

Team Class: Four Dogs, performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of four handlers. Dogs competingin the team class must have at least one common owner. Dogs do not need to be entered in any other class.Dogs comprising a Team Class must be named at the time of entry, and full particulars must be given foreach dog on individual entry forms. If a dog which is to be part of a Team is not entered in another class,it must be entered for "Team Class only." An entry form for a dog entered in another class and entered aspart of a Team must be marked accordingly in the space provided for additional classes as "Team Class."

PARADE OF TITLE HOLDERS

All Irish Setters who have earned a title, both American and foreign, are eligible for the Parade, for whicha fee of $16.00 will be charged. Entry form must state "PARADE OF TITLE HOLDERS". Entries must bemailed to Sandy Jones as directed on entry form. Rosettes with dog's name inscribed will be offered to allparticipants in the Parade. Rosettes must be claimed the day of the show. Health ClinicAnnual Health clinic will be held one hour after the conclusion of Sweepstakes judging on WednesdayAfternoon, June 16, 2021 at the Clarion Hotel. There is an online, pre-registration for tests being offered.More information will be sent out via Flea Bytes, along with the link to the on-line registration process.Due to COVID restrictions, no day of sign ups will be accepted. Pre-registration only.

Please observe the marked "Exercise Areas" and stay off the "No Dog" areas around the hotelgrounds and show site. You are expected to clean up promptly after your dogs at the hotel. Poopbags and refuse cans will be provided for your convenience.

HOTEL: It is forbidden to bathe dogs in your room. Bathing stations will be provided at the Clarion Hotel.

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Championsof Record and dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship,but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limitedto a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dogis divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are enteringyour dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registereddog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entriesclosed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificateindicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed toA.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter 14, Section 3.).

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine PartnersListed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breedetrants.

A RECORDING FEE OF $.50 & a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee and $3.00 for Rally AKC Event Service Feewill be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or TrackingTest. This Recording Fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club.If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entryonly. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may makesuch errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after thepublished closing date.

NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog hasbeen processed, no refund will be made.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING.DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging

will be excused.JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are respon-sible

for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-givingclub and the Show Superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a publicaddress system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought intothe ring when required.

ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when inthe exercise pens.

CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must bemade in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the show Superintendent to be advised at once.The Show Superintendent and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judgingof the breed is over.

THERE SHALL BE NO drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises.EXHIBITORS SHOULD FOLLOW THEIR VETERINARIAN'S RECOMMENDATION to assure their dogs are

free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.ISCA RESERVES the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. ALL TROPHIES AND PRIZES must

be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed or otherwise distributed.THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR'S CHILD OR AN ATTENDEE'S CHILD is assumed to be the responsibility

of the exhibitor or attendee. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors and attendees will exercise control andrestraint over their children on the days of the show.

ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THESE DOG SHOWS hereby waive any claim for damages against the Irish SetterClub of America, its members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog fromoverheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.
