HOST HOTELS:Hampton Inn5750 E. Franklin Rd., Nampa, ID 83687208-442-0037

PAID WARMUPS / ARENA OPEN HOURS:The arena will be open Friday (April 16th), from 11 AM until about 10 PM, re-opening on Saturday morning (April 17th) about 6 AM. Paid warmups will run on Saturday April 17th from 7 AM - 8 PM.  The arena will be open following the last paid warmup and will remain open until midnight Saturday, reopen at 5 am Sunday (April 18th), paid warmups running from 6 AM - 8 PM, and then open arena throughout Sunday evening and every evening throughout the rest of the show. Each night the FIHP arena crew will shut down the arena from 2:30-4:30 AM (NEW FOR 2021) as needed to prepare the ground for the next day’s classes.

NRHA APPROVED CLASSES:All NRHA classes, including aged events and ancillary classes, will be awarding trophies based on NRHA guidelines – Lawson, Morrisons, Morgans, and Plaques. All Aged Events will pay-out using NRHA payback schedule “B” (deeper payout); all other classes will use schedule “A” (normal schedule).

GWRHA CLASSES:Membership in the GWRHA is NOT required to enter GWRHA classes. There will be four slates of Ladies and Gents (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs.) These GWRHA schooling classes can be shown in any legal bridle using one or two hands. These classes will each have “jackpot” payouts and will have circuit prizes awarded for 1st through 5th places (there are no required number of times you must enter the club classes to receive a circuit award). Late entries (post entries after the draw) for all “schooling” classes will go last in the draw rather than first.

“SCHOOLING’’:Contestants are expected to run the designated NRHA pattern number assigned to each class however deviations from the designated pattern are allowed in the above mentioned GWRHA “schooling” classes. As a courtesy to the judges, contestants intending to school their horses in the GWRHA “schooling” classes should make their intention to school obvious to the judge at the beginning of their run. Off-pattern schooling runs shall not exceed four minutes

DERBY/MATURITY ENTRIES & DRAWS:Derby horses may be shown either one handed in a bridle or shown two handed in a snaffle bit or a hackamore. Maturity horses are to be shown one handed. All Derby/Maturity entries must enter up one level (e.g. Level 1 entries must also enter a Level 2, 3 or a 4 class, Level 2 entries must also enter a Level 3 or a 4 class, Level 3 entries must also enter one of the Level 4 classes offered). The “Red Shirt” Futurity classes are run concurrently with the Open and Non Pro Derby classes and entries in this class are restricted to four year old horses who were never shown in a futurity their 3 Year Old year (for additional information regarding the “Red Shirt” Futurity click here. A Draw Party for the Non Pro Maturity, Non Pro Derby and Open Derby will be held at 8:00pm on the night before the classes will be ran (Wednesday for NP Maturity, Thursday for NP Derby and Friday for Open Derby). Open Maturity draws will be done in conjunction with the ancillary classes they are being concurrently run with (computer drawn the night before). Additional entries will continue to be accepted until 60 minutes before the start of the classes however; once drawn, late additions will be the first to show. The Derby classes will be run in 2 Sections. The first section will be for those horses specifically entered in ONLY

the Red Shirt Futurity and/or 4 Year Old L4 Derby class. The second section will be comprised of horses that are entered in the 4-5-6-7 YO Derby. Red Shirt and 4YO Derby horses who cross enter any of the 4-5-6-7 level classes will also go in the 2nd section. Details will be discussed at the draw party.

ADDITIONAL CLASS INFORMATION:Show entries should be submitted to the office by 5:00PM on the evening before each show day. The office will close from approximately 5:00PM to 6:00PM each day to prepare the draws for the following day. We anticipate the classes and schedule will be posted at approximately 6:00PM on the evening before each show day (except those classes with specific draw parties). Class entries will continue to be accepted until 60 minutes before the start of the classes; however, once drawn, late additions will be the first to show. Note that NRHA regulations prohibit refunding of entry fees once drawn. The draw schedule for the main arena will take precedence over the draw schedule in the outdoor arena. Management, in its sole discretion, may alter the draw order in the outdoor arena to accommodate timing conflicts arising where a horse and/or rider is scheduled to show in both arenas. “Drag” periods are tentatively scheduled and may be altered from time-to-time after postings as deemed appropriate. Management reserves the right to alter the show, the arena and schedules at any time as circumstances may dictate or as may be deemed appropriate. PLEASE NOTE: draw order for classes ran in the Outdoor Arena should be adhered to with minor alterations due to Main Arena conflict - you must check in at the Outdoor Arena gate or risk being scratched.

LEADLINE CLASS:A special GWRHA “Pee Wee Reiner”/Leadline class for children aged 7 and under will be held on Friday in the Coverall Arena 30 minutes after the Rookie 2 Shootout Finals are over in the Main Arena. Contestants will be required to enter by 5:00PM on Thursday (April 22nd) and to submit a short story line in writing (click here for form). Riders must be accompanied in the class by an adult who will lead the horse and rider at a walk. No “reining” maneuvers will be performed.

TROPHIES & PRIZES:In addition to NRHA classes being awarded trophies based on NRHA guidelines, there will be circuit prizes awarded for 1st through 5th places in all the GWRHA multi-slated classes (Ladies & Gents), and prizes for 1st through 5th places in all single-slated classes (see the Class Schedule). Prizes for the Rookie 1 and PT Rookie are circuit awards (based on combined scores from Slate #1 and Slate #2). Rookie 2 prizes are awarded based on placings in the Rookie 2 Clean Slate Shootout Finals. There will also be many significant special show and class sponsor prizes awarded including trophy saddles to both the Level 4 Non Pro and Open Derby Champions, Champion buckles will be awarded in all of the youth aged event classes and Champion buckles will be awarded to the winner of the Short Stirrup, Youth 13 & Under, and the Youth 14-18 classes. The High Point Open and High Point Non Pro riders of the entire show will each be awarded a special prize as well as the owner of the High Point Horse. See the complete list of all prizes for all classes.

NEW FOR 2021 – THE RUN FOR A MILLION QUALIFIERBoth slates #1 and #2 of the Rookie 2 and the Non Pro ancillary class have a concurrent TRFAM qualifier class. The cost to enter a class is $200. The top 5 placers (plus ties) in each TRFAM class will qualify to go compete at The Run For A Million to be held in Las Vegas the middle of August 2021. Qualification is for the rider; you are not required to ride the same horse at TRFAM event. All NRHA ownership rules will apply. Entry in TRFAM class does require entry in the concurrent Rookie 2 and/or Non Pro ancillary class. TRFAM qualifier class has no payout; however, prizes are planned for the top 5 qualifiers. All specific TRFAM rules or conditions take precedence over any potential contradictions listed here.

BACK AGAIN IN 2021 – ROOKIE 2 SHOOTOUT!!The top ten circuit finalists (highest combined scores from Slates #1 and #2), plus ties, will be able to run in a clean slate finals SHOOTOUT just after the Non Pro Derby finals on Friday April 23rd. The draw order will be “seated”, meaning based on the outcome of the circuit; i.e. the 10th place horse will go first, 9th place will go second, etc. and the top finishing horse from the circuit standings will be the last horse to go in the shootout. The Shootout Finals is a clean slate (meaning previous scores do not carry over). There will be no entry fees or judges fees associated with the Finals run. Winner will take home a trophy saddle sponsored by Equine Oasis, buckles will be awarded to the top 10 finishers, as well as other circuit awards.

VIDEO:RainDancer Video will provide video recording services and live web casting of the show over the internet. Their production trailer will be on-site and will offer free viewing and the ability to purchase videos of your runs. A delay video feed station will also be provided near the warmup area. An $8 video fee will be added by the show secretary for each run performed in the Main Arena. No video services will be provided for GWRHA classes ran in the outdoor arena.

SPONSORS:We are very grateful for our sponsors without whose generous support this event would not be possible. We are excited at the prospect of being able to continue holding this event each year at the FIHP in Nampa however we do need your support in order to make the event at this wonderful facility possible. Show, class and prize sponsorships are all available. Please contact Stephanie Porath at (208) 390-0283 or George King at (208) 524-3115 to find out more about how you can contribute.

AFFILIATE CIRCUIT QUALIFIER:Due to the continued uncertainty of local shows in some states, the NRHA Board of Directors has elected to run the 2021 qualification for the Affiliate Regional Championships like that of 2020; you do not necessarily have to qualify to compete in the ARC classes – only be eligible for the ARC class and be a member of an Affiliate in that region.

FORD IDAHO HORSE PARK RULES:Dogs are to remain on a leash and under control at all times. BACK AGAIN IN 2021 – DUE TO UNFORTUNATE DOG ISSUES AT THE NRHA FUTURITY & DOG FIGHTS AT THE LRRC, NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE MAIN ARENA BUILDING AT ANY TIME. Sorry for the inconvenience but personal safety comes first. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS (use the refuse disposal bags); A LITTLE POOP LEFT BY A LOT OF DOGS – IS A LOT OF POOP. If everyone does their part we’ll be able to continue bringing our canine friends. All horses to be washed in designated wash areas only (no washing in the stalls or alleyways). No horses allowed in the RV grounds. No outside food, beverages or alcohol may be brought into any building without the consent of the FIHP. Speed limit 10 mph. Exhibitors and invitees must comply with all FIHP rules and management directives.

CHANGES:As always, the show schedule is tentative and subject to change. GWRHA reserves the right to make changes, cancellations or substitutions at any time. Show management may change, cancel, alter or re-schedule classes, arenas or any other show particulars due to weather or for any other reason, in its sole discretion, as may be dictated by circumstances at the time.
