Welcome to Taiwan, and welcome to PreGA!

Here is some useful information that you may need after your arrival on August 1st (maybe earlier or later)

in Taiwan:

Taoyuan International Airport

There are two terminals in Taoyuan International Airport. Sky trains and shuttle buses are available for

travelers arriving, departing and transferring flights between the two terminals. You can experience

delicious, characteristic Taiwanese food in the dining area. The various shops in the terminals provide you

with souvenirs to bring back home.

Foreign currency exchange

There are foreign currency exchange services in Taoyuan International Airport that accept all kinds of

money. You can either exchange enough money, buy traveler's cheque in the airport for your convenience,

or go to designated bank for currency exchange service if needed. Banks in Taoyuan International Airport

are located on the first, second, and the third floor in Terminal 1 and 2.

* We accept Euros notes and NTD notes, but we don’t accept any kinds of coins unless New Taiwanese

Dollar (NTD) coins for any payment during PreGA period. So please be prepared with some NTD if you are

going to register for the social programs.

Arrival on August 1st, 2014

For those who will arrive on August 1st, 2014, there will be several PreGA staffs at the airport to welcome

you. They will be holding "Ask Me" (please refer to the attachment for picture) posters at the arrival halls of

both two terminals. Upon meeting, the staffs will arrange buses for transportation back to your

accommodation for registration. Should you have any problem in meeting with our PreGA staffs, please

Arrival earlier than August 1st, 2014

For those who arrive earlier than August 1st, 2014, we recommend you to go to Taipei Main Station to take

the MRT system for transit to Taipei City. It’s easier for you to get to your self-arranged accommodation.

You may go to Taipei Main Station from Taoyuan International Airport with following recommended

options:

Taipei Main Station is the intersection of MRT, train,

High speed rail (HSR) and bus system. You can go

anywhere from here by different kinds of

transportation.

b. High Speed Rail (HSR) - Take the HSR shuttle bus to HSR Taoyuan Station, then take the HSR to Taipei

Main Station.

c. Taxi - Inform the taxi driver of your destination Taipei Main Station (台北車站). Fares are charged

according to set standard rates based on mileage, highway tolls not included.

Please be reminded that the registration site for Day One (August 1st, 2014) is at your respective site of

accommodation (Pacific Business Centre or AT Boutique Hotel - please see attachment for details).

After arriving at Taipei Main Station, we recommend you to take the MRT. Take the RED line (Xiangshan

Line象山線) towards Xiangshan and please align at Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station (台北 101/世貿).

Please proceed to Exit 2 (Zhuangjing Road 莊敬路), walk along the street for 5 minutes and you can see AT

Boutique on your left hand side. (Please see handbook attachment for map details – Page 12)

* Do not buy the EASYCARD (LEFT) as every delegate will get one along with your nametag in the welcome

package at registration desk. It’s cool right? As we wanna go GREEN!! Buy the single-journey ticket

(RIGHT) instead.

Weather and dress code

As we are approaching summer in Taiwan, there would be instance of heavy rain in the afternoon. Hence,

umbrella or certain rainwear is advised. The weather here is now warm to hot (Max: 32 degree Celsius; Min:

24 degree Celsius) and the weather is humid (Humidity: 55~65%), thus casual and light, comfortable

clothes are recommended. However, please be reminded that the official dress-code for opening ceremony

on August 1st, 2014 will be semi-formal. You may also want to bring your personal medicine and hygienic

essentials if any.

Green PreGA

In line with our goal of a green environment, as we emphasize the importance of sustainability, we wish to

reduce as much waste we can during the whole assembly. Going green is not just a slogan but an attitude

we need to adopt in our lifestyle. Hence, during the PreGA session, no disposable toiletries will be provided

by the hotel which includes toothbrush set, tower, shampoo and etc. Water dispensers are available

everywhere, so we encourage our beloved participants to prepare their own bottle or cup if possible.

* Toiletries are available upon request but an extra NT 600 will be charged and participants need to pay it

by themselves.

Logistic Reminder

1. First, we welcome your stay in Pacific Business Centre/At-Boutique Hotel. Should you

have any question during your stay, please direct it to any PreGA staff and we will help

you as soon as possible.

2. We remind you that we will be handing out breakfast in the hotel's conference room at

breakfast time each morning, please remember to come and get your breakfast.

3. Please keep and take care of the room keys by yourself or leave it with the lobby

reception desk while going out during your stay.

4. You are free to use all kinds of hotel facilities, such as the gym, during your stay.

5. Please take care of your personal safety during your stay, and should you have any

problems, please notify our staff.
