Literacy Objectives:
•To understand what is meant by
the term ‘prefix’;
•To recognise and spell the
prefixes: - un and dis.
What Are Prefixes?
•A prefix is a group of letters we
add to the front of a word.
•Prefixes change the meaning or
purpose of the word, e.g.
un + kind = unkindHow has the word meaning been altered?
The word has become its opposite meaning (antonym)
