10 year limited life span is dictated by ISO 9000
Influx of imported goods creates disposal problem (too costly to return empty)
Melting down 8000 lb steel requires 8000kW-hours of energy; recycling into a home takes 400kW-hrs
Commitment to green economy
Remaking housing with existing materials and at the same time, allowing people to build employability skills
Reduced land-fill- steel is not compostable material
