CARE AND HANDLING | Although concrete is an extremely hard and durablematerial, it can be damaged if treated improperly. Never use salt or chemicals onyour step, as that will void your warranty and may harm the step. Please use properjudgement when handling and storing concrete products.

BASE | Is there a concrete pad or will therebe gravel installed? BUDGET |Which designs are within yourprice range?SPACE | Some step designs take up morespace than others. Eg. hexes and rounds(pages 6 and 7) take up more space at thebase than other designs.PORCH | Do you need, or would you benefitfrom, a porch as part of your new steps?

GETTING STARTED

Measuring your space HEIGHT |Measure from the ground to the top of the door sill.The top of the step should be approximately 71/2” below thetop of the door sill.

DEPTH & WIDTH |Make sure you have enough clearance forthe depth and the width of the step(s).

Care of Steps Salt and chemicals are harmful to any concrete surface andshould not be used for removal of ice or snow. Use of anysuch product will mar the marble-like surface of your stepsand void your warranty. SEALER should be applied annuallyto preserve the colour of natural stone finished steps.
