Notice the difference between a vertical stretch and changing the base which creates new parent function.
In the above graphs we have changed the base which creates a new parent graph. Notice the higher bases gives the graph a sharper turn and makes it steeper.
in these two graphs we have multiplied the parent function by five which caused a vertical stretch, making the y-values get larger faster.
