ANSWER: There is NO 14 day required visit. There is a 14 day “recertification” for SNF payment to the facility for the patient on Medicare benefits. It does NOT require a visit.
The APN can order therapy for a NF patient, if :

ANSWER: A; While the BBA, 1997 authorized payment for therapy ordered by an APN under Medicare part B, the ordering of therapy is a scope of practice issue for the APN, and legal issue for the therapist.
