Date Dear Parents Below are details about some recent events. Primary Sports Events The Primary students enjoyed the sports events that were held on the 5 th and 19 th October. The Physical Education department organised the fun filled events for the students. The older students enjoyed the high jump, long jump and sprint competition. The younger students enjoyed the sack race, obstacle course and the high jump. A big thank you goes to all the Primary staff for supporting the events. The Key Stage One event was won by Maple and the Key Stage Two event was also won by Cedar. Halloween On Friday 26 th October, we held a day of Halloween activities. All the students and some brave teachers dressed in their scary costumes and they all looked fantastic. The City Campus PTA organised themed cakes and biscuits for the students to enjoy. At Zekeriyaköy Campus, the teachers organised a variety of themed activities including a Halloween Parade, Yucky Dip, Photo booth and Trick or Treat. Student Council Student Councils have been set up at the City and Zekeriyaköy Campuses and we look forward to them having a very productive year. Primary Ski Trip The Primary Ski Trip to Kartalkaya, Turkey will take place from Monday 4 th February to Thursday 7 th February. The trip is for the students in Years Four, Five and Six. Last year was very successful and we are hoping that many students will attend this year. We are currently finalising the costs with the resort and a letter will go out soon. Autumn Festival It is traditional in many cultures to donate food at this time to those less fortunate than ourselves. This year we will be collecting food for the needy people in Istanbul. We will be asking for items such as tea, coffee, sugar, UHT milk, cheese, olives, and jam. Thank you in advance for all your donations. Global Citizens Week Week starting Monday 12 th November is the beginning of our Global Citizens Week when we will celebrate the cultural diversity of our school. The following activities will take place across the campuses: Global Community Food Festival – There will be a Global Community Food Festival at each campus organised by the PTA. Dress Up Day – Your child will have the opportunity to come to school dressed in their country’s national dress. Global Goals – Students will set a pledge that they can try to keep until the end of the year. These will be written as new wishes for our School Wishing Tree. We are looking forward to having lots of fun during Global Citizens Week.     Dear Parents Below are details about some recent events.

    Primary Sports Events The Primary students enjoyed the sports events that were held on the 5th and 19th October. The

    Assemblies Assemblies are held every Friday. We have a wide range of presentations from drama to music, puppets to celebrating

    Home/ School Communicat ion It is very important that parents inform their child’s class teacher if their child’s pick up arrangements change. We will not change a child’s way of transport for that evening if we do not have a written request.

    Curriculum Enrichment Activit ies Curriculum Enrichment activities on all campuses will be coming to an end this month. A big thank you to all the staff for providing the

    students with a fun selection of activities. Private clubs will continue. The new cycle will start again early next term.

    School Uniform Winter is on its way and the weather will be getting colder. Over the coming weeks, please make sure that your child comes suitably dressed.

    School Lunches Our website has an on-line menu with details of each month’s lunches for your child.

    Water Bott les Please can we remind you to send in a named reusable drinking bottle for your child. It should either be made from stainless steel or BPA free plastic. In the morning the children can take the bottle out of their bag and put it in a tray/basket inside the classroom. They can use this bottle of water throughout the day and refill it, if necessary. They will take it home at the end of the school day so it can be washed.

    BISI Parent/ Teacher Association The PTA meets monthly to discuss school matters and depends upon your correspondence to be genuinely representative of all parents of the School.

    We welcome anyone who is interested to join one of the PTA Committees.

    Little P ine Cones Playgroup Playgroups are held every week. They are for all children up to 2½ years old, accompanied by a known
