The Delaware Police Department
supports community policing and works
together with citizens to reduce crime
and conflict. The department is a full
service agency with personnel assigned
to uniformed patrol, K9, bike patrol,
detective bureau, administrative and
support functions.
The Delaware Police Youth Basketball
Camp provides youth the opportunity to
interact with Delaware Police Officers
away from the normal police cruiser and
uniform. The camp emphasizes the
importance of an active and drug-free
lifestyle with a focus on the
Department’s Core Values: Integrity,
Courtesy, Trust, Honor, Respect,
Excellence, and Professionalism.

The Delaware Police Department is
proud to announce it is hosting its
sixth annual summer basketball camp.
Players will get instruction from
Delaware Police Officers on the
fundamentals of the game of
basketball including: offensive
moves, defensive techniques,
shooting, ball handling, team play and
more! Camp is FREE to attend for
both boys and girls entering grades 5-
7. Learn the game through group
instruction, team play, full court
games and contests.

To ensure that each camper gets the
proper individual attention, camp
enrollment is limited to 50 campers.
