Pre Primary Events And Celebrations Year 2017-18
ART, CRAFT AND GRAIN EXHIBITION
Art, Craft and Grain Exhibition was held on 10/3/2018. Tiny Tots poured out their creativity and talent.
Beautiful Art and Craft work made by children was on display. Best out of waste creativity was the main
attraction. Grain which is highly in nutrient values was also on display. There was overwhelming response by
children and the parents.
ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
Annual Day celebration was held on 27th February 2018. The chief guest of the day was Sri S.V.SESHADRI
former asst. Director Navodaya Vidyalaya Sanghatan. His Holiness Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji blessed
the ocassion by His benediction. The chief guest shared his views with the gathering. Annual report was
presented by the Principal. Formal function ended with the National Anthem and followed by variety
entertainment. The theme for the day was on different types of music. Children tapped their feet for varieties of
songs and skit on eminent composers and on reality show was exhibited boldly by children. Parents also
thoroughly enjoyed their children performing on the big platform and made the day successful.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING
Second Parent Teacher Meeting for PREP 'I' and PREP 'II' was conducted on 20/01/2018. Performance of the
children was discussed generally. Children who required extra practice and attention was also discussed with
parents wherein parents agreed to follow the same.
CLASS CULTURAL PROGRAMME OF NURSERY
Class Cultural programme of nursery "A and B" was held on 23/12/2017. Children dressed up in colourful
costumes, synchronised their tiny legs to songs on Krishna, Bahubali, Chenappa Chenegowda, Rajasthani folk,
and they also took the parents to the world of Cartoon. Our drama juniors performed skit on Bhakta
Markandeya and delivered the dialogues very confidently and it was outstanding part of the event. Parents were
astonished to see their children performing on the stage.
CLASS CULTURAL PROGRAMME OF PREP I
Class cultural programme of Prep I ''A and B'' was held on 9/12/2017. As our Swamiji is a great devotee of
Udupi Krishna, the theme for the day was also on ''KRISHNA''. Children showed the gist of lord Krishna's
different stages beginning from his birth to Vishwaroopadarshan which was par excellence . After watching the
skit on Krishna Sudhama and Bhakta Kanakadasa, parents were spellbound.
MEDICAL CHECKUP
Medical Examination for Prep II, Prep I and Nursery was conducted on 22/11/2017. Dr. Shilpa Angadi made a
thorough Check up and also height, weight of children were read and maintained for the same.
CHILDREN'S DAY
Children's day was celebrated on 14/11/2017.Teachers wished children by decorating the premises with
balloons and boards were decorated with colorful charts. Teachers entertained children with songs and dance.
Children also joined the teachers and enjoyed their day.
KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on 1/11/2017. Bulletin boards were displayed with charts on eminent
personalities, history of Karnataka etc... Goddess Bhuvaneshwari Devi was worshipped. Children were
explained about importance of this day.
PICNIC
Children of Prep II A and B were taken to Woods Resort on 11.10.2017 and children of Prep I A and B and
Nursery A and B were taken to Dream Land Resort on 12.10.2017 and 17.10.17. Children had fun time playing
in varieties of Joy Rides, Indoor games. They also danced to the latest filmy songs. They relished the varieties
of food served. The bus journey excited the children most.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING
Parent Teacher Meeting for the First Assessment was held on 14.10.17. Performance of the individual child was
discussed, teachers also guided the parents for the betterment of the child.
CLASS CULTURAL PROGRAMME OF PREP II 'A AND B'
Class cultural programme of PREP II 'A AND B' was held on 1.9.17, depicting BLUE colour as the theme.
Children performed dances on Sky , Sea, Sapphire the gem, Blue bell flower, Airforce etc which signifies the
importance of Blue colour and the dance costume also matched the theme. Parents were excited and happy to
see their children performing on the stage.
Krishna Janmashtami
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on 16.8.2017. Nursery children of A and B were dressed up as Radha and
Krishna. The programme was started by taking the foot impressions of little Krishnas . Children repeated the
Bhanjans and Shlokas sung by the teachers. Our Hon. Jt Secretary Sri V.V.Bhat and Primary Principal Smt
Myna Reddy graced the occasion.
Flower Exhibition
"FLOWERS ARE LIKE FRIENDS THEY BRING COLOUR TO YOUR WORLD"
Flower Exhibition was held on 11.8.2017. Common flowers and rare flowers like Helium, Bird of Paradise etc
were exhibited . Children were thrilled watching colourful flowers.
Parent Interaction Programme for Nursery 'A' and 'B'
" The exhausting cycle of constantly monitoring their work and performance makes children feel less competent
and confident".
Dr Shailaja Shastry an eminent resource person counselled the parents in Raising Confident In Children .
Parents and teachers enthusiastically interacted in the session which was held on 5.8.17.
Vegetable Exhibition
" Eat more Vegetables. You love the way you look and feel."
Vegetable exhibition was held on 21.07.2017. Children enjoyed watching the displayed fresh vegetables.
Common and rare vegetables like Iceberg, Pokchoy, Baby cabbage etc. were displayed and introduced to the
children. Along with this rare hurbs like Thyme, Basil, Celery, Oregano were also displayed. Green leafy
vegetables were also added.
Parent Interaction Programme of Prep – I
Parent Interaction Programme for Prep–I was organized on 15.07.2017. The topic was "How to teach your child
English Communication Skills". A good communication skills works as an invaluable asset and to have a better
future with confidence to achieve success in their life. To implement this so many techniques were explained by
Dr. Lalitha Appachu.
Parent Interaction Programme of Prep – II
Parent Interaction Programme of Prep – II was held on 1.07.2017. The topic was "Alternatives to Punishment".
Resource person Dr. Lalitha Appachu shared a wonderful thought "Human beings becomes better when human
being behavior becomes better" in briefly. Many parents benefited with this Interaction Programme.
Fruit Exhibition
"We are eating too much of the wrong things and not enough of right things". 28 Common fruits, 12 rare fruits
and 10 dry fruits were displayed . Essential nutrients of the fruits were explained to the children to lead a
healthy life.
World Environment Day
To raise the awareness about the environment among the children, The World Environment Day was celebrated
on 5th June 2017. Children were taken to the garden to plant the sacred Tulasi saplings. Teachers too
participated enthusiastically in planting the saplings.
I Parent Teacher Meeting
I Parent Teacher Meeting was held on 20/05/17 for Nursery section and on 27/05/17 for Prep-I and Prep-II.
Aside from imparting pertinent information regarding the curriculum and classroom structure, the idea is to
form parent – teacher team – a partnership that works together for the benefit of the child.
Re-opening day
Like every year this year also we have a lot to accomplish. There are standards and goals, activities, lessons,
curricula–the list of "To Do's" is extensive. The school re-opened on 22/05/17 with new ambitions.
Children are back to school to play, learn and grow together.
