about george...

George Massey began his real estate investment career while in graduate school at the University of Cincinnati, in 1974. He and his wife Susan, have

now entered the 8th year of their full-time real estate business, where they have assisted clients in both residential and commercial real estate.

George and Susan were the listing associates of Oklahoma City’s first high-rise condominium project, The Classen and have continued by assisting

both buyers and sellers with homes, condominiums, acreages, apartment complexes, storage facilities and various industrial properties all over the

greater Oklahoma City metro. One of their specialties is working with clients in the historic areas, where they currently reside in a 1922 vintage

home.

One special area of expansion has been the downtown and midtown condo market. Here George joined with colleague, Wendy Chong, to assist with

the remaining condominium home sales for one of the first Bricktown projects, Block 42.

As a former union negotiator in San Francisco, George translates his experience and skill to obtaining the best possible price options for both buyers

and sellers and is adept in the final negotiations for inspection repairs and engineering

reports. The Massey’s unique background in the performing arts allow them a very unique

perspective on working with their clients. As professional operatic artists having performed

all over the United States of America and Europe for 10 years, followed by collegiate teach-

ing careers, they have the expertise and knowledge to help achieve the best results for

their clients’ needs.

George is listed in the Who’s Who in American Music, was selected as a judge for the Met-

ropolitan Opera’s National Council auditions. He was elected by the Oklahoma City Council

to serve as a Member of the Historic Preservation Commission in August, 2011.

CHECKLIST...

IT’S MY MISSION TO SELL YOUR HOME...HERE’S THE FIRST STEP...

Our first appointment will set the stage for your entire transaction. Prepare to spend one hour with me so I can acquaint myself with your goals and your property.

Please gather the following information for our appointment.

A list of value-added improvements that you’ve made to your property, as well as the expected maintenance replacements, like your heat and airsystem and roof. Dated invoices are necessary to document these items.

Homeowner’s Association information and dues structure

A copy of your most recent mortgage statement. This will help me create a Seller’s Estimate of Expenses for your sale and expedite your closing.

Any special information regarding a trust, guardianship, or estate, including Powers of Attorney and other authorizations, if applicable.

Any special considerations with your property, such as acreage boundaries, easements or right of ways. If you have a survey from your previouspurchase, that would be helpful.

A previous appraisal. While it may be out of date for valuation purposes, a measurement of your home’s square footage with sketch can be helpfulin documenting your home’s size.

Photos. If you have especially attractive photos of your home or landscaping in full bloom, please share. This can be a great help in marketing yourhome in the winter or if it becomes vacant.

The first 30 days of your listing period are the most crucial, especially in a smaller buyer market. That’s when the most

qualified, ready-to-buy prospects are looking for a home just like yours to be offered for sale. Together, we’ll decide on the right

price and marketing strategy to capture their interest and create a sense of urgency.
