COMPLETIONIt is understood that students may choose not to submit during OCPS Thanksgiving,

Winter, and Spring Breaks, which may change their completion date according to this

    pace chart.

    Learning Goals:

    Module 1:

Students will be able to identify real numbers as either rational or irrational,

convert real and rational numbers into their decimal numbers and vice versa, find

the approximate location of irrational numbers on a number line, create

equivalent expressions using properties of exponents, find the square roots of

perfect squares, approximate for nonperfect squares, cube roots of small perfectcubes, read, write, and compare numbers written in scientific notation and solve

problems using scientific notation and standard form.

    Module 2:

Students will be able to define and identify translations, reflections, rotations,

dilations, transversals corresponding sides and angles, center and degree of

rotation, line of reflection, apply congruency, similarity and find the sum of the

    angles of a triangle.

    Module 3:

Students will be able to model and apply the Pythagorean Theorem, use formulas

to find the volume of cones, cylinders, and spheres.

    Module 4:

Students will be able to define a function as a rule, determine whether a relation

is a function from a rule, a set of ordered pairs, a graph, or a situation, compare

properties of functions represented algebraically, graphically, numerically in

tables, or by verbal expressions, and identify functions as linear or non-linear by

    analyzing a graph.
