1. Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Role: Analyst Programmer

Application Description:

CommSee – Common Wealth Bank Service Excellence Every day, which is a Windows Based Banking CRM application software. It allows integrated access to customer information and common tasks for branch staffs, also it is one of the major IT project undertaken by the Australian banking giant in recent years for providing the customers real time banking. Development on the project began in March 2004, and the system is now used by more than 30,000 users across 1,700 sites.

The CommSee application started off as a CRM application. However, CommSee became a single platform for delivery of business functionality to the banks user community. The SOFA framework is interesting from a number of points. It shows how SOA services have been delivered by the bank as both “private” (directly needed by specific WinParts) and “public” those services which are most likely to be re-used across applications.

I have worked on many enhancements on the Product Journals such as Simple Superannuation, My Wealth Project online channel, which helps the customers to view the policy summary details, modifying the policy and other services. Also worked in Real Time Correspondence which specializes in correspondence or document generation in real time through the CommSee application. As part of this project, various documents are generated ranging from new account origination document to commercial lending account correspondence document. To generate a document, an XML is constructed and passed onto Dialogue tool (Document generation tool) which produces the document as a pdf which is used to store in Comsee Database or preview Offer Confirmation Letter and Master Contract Offer Confirmation Letter for the customers.

2. ADMINRE (UK) Insurance

Application Description:

Admin Re is a subsidiary of Swiss Re, which was formed primarily to acquire closed book businesses in UK and Europe. Admin Re has till date acquired 50+ small and large closed book businesses. They also manage closed book business for Aviva UK.The core insurance administration system used by Admin Re is ALPHA.ALPHA stands for Annuity, Life, Pension and Health Administration system. We had to replace an already developed Visual Basic(6.0) forms to WPF Application. This Application functionality is to give information about the policy details of the client when a user enters the Policy Number or Name of the Client. By understanding the existing Visual Basic Application we had to design our WPF application using MVVM design pattern.

3. American Insurance Group

Role: Lead

Environment: Sybase, Clear Quest, Service Now, PegaRules

Application Description:

American International Group (AIG) is a completely insurance based web enabled application, cater to the needs of a typical Insurance Company, serves several components into a simple-to-use, maximum configurable web application and integrated well with General details, insurance, It contains 250 overall applications to manage the insurance activities like policy administration, underwriting, co-insurance, re-insurance, claims. Interfaces are linked between the entire applications to handle the payment, reporting ,data maintenance activities.

Oversee the overall Application Support process, working with the Customer-designated Business IT Partner, with AIGGS as Customer-designated Provider of infrastructure and application hosting services, and other Customer-designated IT Service Providers handling Level 3 support, for all local, regional, and global applications that are turned over to the RSC.

I have worked on handling the tickets for the issues faced by the underwriter\broker while using the Consumer\Commercial applications related to HongKong, Thailand, Australia. Coordinating with the development team to get fixes and promoting the build o fixes in all environments. Coordinating with the testing team to test the applications once the build or fix is promoted.
