Waseda University is dedicated to Japanese language education

and has the largest number of international students studying in

Japan, teaching approximately 5,000 students a year. In addition

to Japanese tuition, the Graduate School of Japanese Applied

Linguistics continues to produce highly qualified Japanese

language specialists to teach all over the world.

For non-native Japanese speakers, pronunciation is one of the most

challenging aspects of the language, yet there are very few helpful

textbooks. “Japanese Pronunciation for Communication” is the

course you have been waiting for! Our instructor, Professor Takako

Toda, has been studying this field for many years and welcomes all
