opportunities for improving communication across the board. When
used correctly, these technologies can enhance education and
information to the directed audience.
3. Face-To-Face One type of education delivery is face-to-
face. This is a considered a lecture. Only 5% of information is
retained over a 24-hour period from face-to-face delivery of
information.
4. Online E-Learning is also knowns as online learning promotes
collaboration, engagement, discussion and analysis on the students
part. Online learning breaks barriers from classrooms, patients
bedsides, laboratories, and brings the class straight to where the
student feels most comfortable and willing to learn.
5. Hybrid Hybrid or blended education is a combination of
online and in class teaching/learning. These types of courses for
education are gaining in popularity.
6. Ways to Educate Not only are there several ways in which
classrooms are constructed like mentioned Face to face Online
Hybrid There are also many different tools that are utilized for
education and informatics.
7. Webinars Webinars are broadcasts that are pre recorded or
live presentations delivered via web. Webinars can be audio,
visual, or a combination of both.
8. Online discussions Instant messaging/chats/online
discussions all allow the learner to communicate with other
learners about a topic presented. These tools allow students to
exchange information, offer engagement, and encourage communication
with one another.
9. Summary Nursing Education is changing with different
technologies. These technologies enhance learning, provide
different experiences, force students to engage in different ways.
With different ways of learning and different ways of providing
education, communication from the educator to the student can be
more efficient and more information can be retained.
