  2. 2. Nursing Education The rise in technology has increased opportunities for improving communication across the board. When used correctly, these technologies can enhance education and information to the directed audience.
  3. 3. Face-To-Face One type of education delivery is face-to- face. This is a considered a lecture. Only 5% of information is retained over a 24-hour period from face-to-face delivery of information.
  4. 4. Online E-Learning is also knowns as online learning promotes collaboration, engagement, discussion and analysis on the students part. Online learning breaks barriers from classrooms, patients bedsides, laboratories, and brings the class straight to where the student feels most comfortable and willing to learn.
  5. 5. Hybrid Hybrid or blended education is a combination of online and in class teaching/learning. These types of courses for education are gaining in popularity.
  6. 6. Ways to Educate Not only are there several ways in which classrooms are constructed like mentioned Face to face Online Hybrid There are also many different tools that are utilized for education and informatics.
  7. 7. Webinars Webinars are broadcasts that are pre recorded or live presentations delivered via web. Webinars can be audio, visual, or a combination of both.
  8. 8. Online discussions Instant messaging/chats/online discussions all allow the learner to communicate with other learners about a topic presented. These tools allow students to exchange information, offer engagement, and encourage communication with one another.
  9. 9. Summary Nursing Education is changing with different technologies. These technologies enhance learning, provide different experiences, force students to engage in different ways. With different ways of learning and different ways of providing education, communication from the educator to the student can be more efficient and more information can be retained.
