Duties included the following:o Planned independent research projects utilizing archival data from the

Midlife Development in the U.S. study (MIDUS). Duties included topic selection, research question and hypothesis development, data manipulation using SAS statistical software, examination of normality and outliers, estimation of multivariate linear and logistic models, interpretation of models, and independently wrote a full empirical paper.

Project 1. The project tested associations between diabetes diagnosis and depression, and whether personality characteristics buffered the effects of depression.

Project 2. The project tested how certain personality characteristics can be a risk factor, or protective in regards to spouse partner affectual solidarity (partner strain and support) and how these contribute to a stable, healthy relationship.
