2015 Syrah COLUMBIA VALLEY TASTING NOTES Layered aromatics of blackberry, blueberry, and currant mingle with a touch of complex spices and herbs on the nose. The wine explodes on the palate with rich layered flavors of lush blackberry, Bing cherry and a touch of pomegranate followed by notes of licorice, dark cocoa, forest floor and a touch of mint. This Syrah has an incredibly savory sensation with firm structure and acidity that leads into a finish of fine integrated silky tannins. All components were fermented in our stainless upright fermenters with PDM yeast used on all lots. We then aged the wine for 18 months in 2nd and 3rd use 59 gallon French Oak barrels.
