Turbulence keeps

debris in suspension

Positive interference between the pig surface and the pipe wall imparts cleaning action. Fast moving stream of water also helps

Gel Pigs • Used to clean Unpiggable Pipelines, During Commissioning and for On Going

Maintenance

• Pigs are normally Water or Glycol Based and Biodegradable

• Solid Gel Pigs are used for Routine Pigging and Product Removal

• Viscous Gel Pigs are used for Debris Pick Up, Deoiling, Dewaxing, Descaling, Dewatering – The Viscosity can be Adjusted to Suit the Application

• Many Solvents and Acids can be Gelled

• Gelled Diesel is commonly used as a Carrier of Corrosion Inhibitor in Gas Lines.

• No Requirement for a Launcher or Receiver

www.kilbrideenvironmentalservices.com

• Gel Pigs can be used Alone or in Conjunction with Other Types of Pipe Pigs to Provide the following Benefits:

• Reduced wear of pigs • Decreased fluid bypass • Increased drive efficiency • Improved capacity to carry solids

Gel Pigs

Most of the Debris is Carried in the Centre of the Gel due to its High Viscosity

Cement lined

Bitumen lined

Polyethylene

The Typhoon Cleaning System • Can be used to clean pipes constructed

of Unlined Cast Iron, Ductile iron, Steel, UPVC, Polyethylene and Polypropylene

• Can clean pipes lined with Cement, Bitumen, Epoxy, Polyurethane

• Avoids damage to internal linings especially on the internal radii of bends

• Recycled water allows full day use without refilling

• Small site footprint • For access requires removal of only a

small section of pipe

• The system is fully adjustable and highly controllable Adjustable variables:

• Water pressure

• Manifold angle of attack • Fan spread angle

• Distance of the fan jets to the pipe wall

www.kilbrideenvironmentalservices.com

The Standard Typhoon

Provides impeccable cleaning to water mains of all constructions

The Transformer Typhoon

Can be introduced into a pipeline through a 600mm branch connection.

The Intensifier Typhoon

High pressure version of Typhoon for the removal of hard encrustation & corrosion

on pipe walls

The Typhoon Variants

www.kilbrideenvironmentalservices.com

Collapsed Position Expanded Position

• Diameter Range: Single Unit covers 650mm to 2000mm

• Transformer Range: 1.2 kilometre from a single access point

• Access Requirements: Introduced into a Pipeline through a minimum 600mm diameter Branch Connection

• Cleaning Capability: Provides full 360o Cleaning Coverage around the Pipe Wall

• Changes in Pipe Dia: Can Accommodate Changes in Diameter within a Pipeline Section

The Typhoon Transformer

www.kilbrideenvironmentalservices.com

• High Pressure Water Cleaning for Unlined & Lined Water Mains of All Constructions

• Capable of Removing Hard Deposits, Corrosion & Redundant Linings

• Pressures of up to 340 Bar are Developed at the Intensifier

• Fully Controllable & Adjustable to Protect Pipeline Integrity

• Unique Walking System provides a Constant Speed of Travel to give Precision Cleaning
