1. Research – Customer Research the various types of renewable energy systems available and decide which system best fits your consumption needs. Research contractors and third party system owners (if applicable). Research different types of contracts (own, lease, PPA). Understand your electrical load and energy consumption history. Atlantic City Electric does not recommend solar contractors nor does Atlantic City Electric directly install renewable energy systems. 2. Select – Customer Interview multiple solar contractors and select a reputable contractor 3. Apply – Customer/Contractor & Atlantic City Electric Customer - Understand the documentation needed with the interconnection agreement (e.g., one-line diagram, site plan, spec sheets or usage calculators if applicable) Customer/Contractor - Apply and submit Part I of the utility’s interconnection application and agreement along with the supporting documentation. Applications without supporting documentation will be delayed. You can re-submit a corrected application and documentation Atlantic City Electric will send contractor or customer an invoice for any application fee 4. Approval – Atlantic City Electric & Customer/Contractor Atlantic City Electric will review for completeness and acknowledge request Atlantic City Electric engineers will screen request Customer/Contractor - Wait for Approval to Install before installing any renewable generator equipment Atlantic City Electric will provide you a written screening result or Approval to Install 5. Install – Customer/Contractor Begin constructing and installing your renewable generator facility 6. Inspect – Customer/Contractor After installation, submit Part II of our interconnection agreement, including a copy of the certificate of completion and the inspection certificate 7. Review/Meter Exchange – Atlantic City Electric We will review your documentation to verify the interconnection application meets regulatory requirements and the application fee, if any, has been paid. We will make sure Part II matches Part 1 and inspection Certificates satisfactory. Once that information has been verified, we will notify customer & contractor , schedule a meter exchange, and install your net-capable meter 8. Authorization – Atlantic City Electric We will record the meter data, code the account, and send you an Authorization to Operate letter and utility signed agreement. Receipt of the authorization letter means you can operate your renewable system

Over the past two years, we have worked hard to streamline our processes and shorten our

approval times. It used to take weeks and sometimes months to review and approve

applications. Now, it takes only days.

Our regulatory commitment to review each application is 3 business days.

Our regulatory commitment to issue an approval to install is 10 business days.

Our regulatory commitment to issue an authorization to operate is 20 business days.

MyAccount • Easy Registration Process • Utilize MyAccount to better understand your energy consumption history and review past

bills. Customers can provide this information to contractors to help determine size of solar system

• Utilize MyAccount to track the status of a solar interconnection request that your contractor sends in on your behalf

Website & Educational Materials • Our Green Power Connection website (atlanticcityelectric.com/gpc) is a useful one-stop

shop for additional information, resources and educational materials – such as frequently asked questions, guidelines and more

WattPlan • WattPlan can help you estimate the electricity a solar system might generate at your

premise, and how much you might save each year on your electric bills. Discuss in slide 6. Pre-application • Allows customers to obtain a pre-application report to find out if their project is viable. This

is usually applicable to larger systems (non-residential) Interactive grid maps • Useful tool for customers and contractors to help determine if we have sufficient capacity on

our grid to accommodate their proposed interconnection request Customer Usage Portal • Customers can submit an authorization for their contractor to obtain historical usage

information which is useful in determining system size Acceptable Inverters List • A list of certified inverters that we keep on our website, useful to determine ability to use

certain inverters
