Overview• Prevention Network Grant awarded to MAHHC for 7/1/20-9/30/20
• Established advisory committee
• Subawarded ~ $220,000 for prevention initiatives at local level• Support grantees with Results Based Accountability training and tech. assist
• Contractual relationships established in order to:• Build Policy Clearinghouse, online resource for multi-sector prevention policies
• Create and implement internships in prevention field with SVAHEC
• Assess prevention workforce through New England states survey
• Create data dashboard of prevention indicators

Prevention Workforce Survey 89 Total responses
• Largely Female dominated workforce
• 38% of professionals planning to leave in 3 years, most common reason for retirement (have been in field 7-10 years)
• Lack of consensus on the meaning of prevention
• Nearly 52% interested in CPS certification (Certified Prevention Specialist)
• 50% of respondents felt there is growth opportunities within the profession

Our mission is to create and lead advocates to work collaboratively on policy, practice and attitudes that promote prevention, health and wellness with one voice.
The PW!VT vision is a strong, sustainable and unified system for substance abuse prevention.

What we do• Support the work of our member coalitions and the Vermont Department of Health Alcohol and Drug
Abuse programs.
• Facilitate networking opportunities for coalition leaders and other stakeholders to share information and resources
• Collaborate on substance abuse prevention strategies
• Convene statewide annual advocacy day
• Raise awareness about substance abuse prevention and prevention professionals
• Disseminate substance abuse prevention information through our website, newsletters and social media
