Procurement process briefing (Overview) The tender is an Open tender.
The tender was advertised on the National Treasury E-Tender portal.
The RFQ closing date and time is the 21 July 2020 at 10h00am promptly. Please ensure that you abide with the deadline. Late submissions will be disqualified.
For bid submission. (RECEPTION, TENDER ADVICE CENTRE, INYANDA HOUSE 1, GROUND FLOOR, 21 WELLINGTON ROAD, PARKTOWN, JOHANNESBURG)
Specific attention must be given to Transnet’s disclaimers in “RFQ, Section 2, paragraph 9”
Please refer to “RFQ, Section 3” page 13-14 for details of all returnable documents that need to accompany your RFQ bid submission
Transnet’s Procurement Policy Manual (PPM) and National Treasury Legislature have been complied to with regards to the evaluation and adjudication of this tender.

Stage 2: Substantive Test
2.1 Pre – Qualification• Only respondents falling in the following category may respond to this RFQ: Exempted Micro
Enterprises (EME’s) with a B-BBEE Level 4 or better.

A minimum threshold of 65% is required for Local Content of Goods offered

The test for meeting the Local Content threshold [Step Three] must be passed for a Respondent’s proposal to progress to Step Four for further evaluation

o Only bidders who have met or exceeded the predetermined threshold will proceed to stage 4
o Points will be allocated as follows:o Price (80); ando B-BBEE (20)o Please refer to “RFQ, Section 3” for further notes to pricing
CLARIFICATION OF SCOPE OF WORKS
GENERAL MATTERS
• The viewing of the sample will be located at Inyanda 1, 21 Wellington Road.
• For viewing of the sample will be between the 29 June 2020 to the 10 July 2020
• Time : 08:00 – 14:00
