I never realized how severe of a problem it is, in that how common it is in America where I didn’t expect it to be so prevalent. There are many kinds of abuse, and while physical abuse is arguably less damaging than emotional abuse, it is still horrible to have to deal with. In conclusion, I learned a lot, and though there are so many networks for people to reach out for help, the situation will change only slowly because victims are afraid or often unknowing/unwilling to recognize how bad their situation truly is.
