The MTU Series 1600: The new addition to our Power Family.

The newest member of our Power Family is clearly showing its strong heritage. The MTU Series 1600 brings MTU power, MTU technology and MTU reliability to the power range from 270 to 550 kVA. And with that, the traditional benefits of MTU engines are now also available in the lower power range:

— Because of their stiff structure, Series 1600 engines run smoothly and with a minimal amount of vibration. Their excellent vibration characteristics make them extremely versatile and ideal for use in sensitive environments as well as under extreme conditions. From data centers to building sites – Series 1600 engines are suitable for every application imaginable.

— The high similarity of the hardware used in Series 1600 engines makes the process of designing gensets easier across a wide power range, while at the same time adhering to various emissions standards.

— Series 1600 engines – just like all MTU engines designed for use as generator drives – possess outstanding load acceptance capacities. This means the unit can quickly supply the required output whenever necessary, and as a result, can be used for even the most demanding applications.

— The maintenance-friendly engine design minimizes downtime and guarantees the highest level of availability. An optimized service and logistics design specially tailored to this new series provides the best possible support, all over the world.

— Low life cycle costs ensure that operations are efficient over the long-term, making Series 1600 engines extremely appealing from a financial perspective considering their low fuel consumption and main tenance costs.

— The MTU Series 1600 sets standards with regard to exhaust emissions, especially when it comes to the emissions-optimized version (NOx ≤ 1500 mg/m3

N).
