BENEFITS OF 3 PHASE WIRING
Data Centers | 3 phase wiring at the cabinet:
Minimizing the number of wires under the elevated flooring to improve air flow
Significantly reduced amount of wiring attained when using 3 phase WYE (5 Wire System) vs. single phase wiring
Reduced Material & Installation Costs
Balanced Loads on Single Circuit vs the use of 3 Individual Single Phase Circuits
3 Phase WYE: In North America, most commonly used 120/208 VAC or 277/480 VAC. Internationally most commonly used 230/400 VAC.
3 Phase Delta: In North America, most commonly used either 208 VAC or 240 VAC. Internationally most common used is 230 VAC. Delta systems typically have lower line voltages but higher line currents than WYE systems.

METERED POWER DISTRIBUTION & POWER STRIPS
This line of PDUs include a bright power meter display which provides accurate measurements on an easy to read digital screen that is viewable up to 15 feet away.
The meter displays voltage, amperage, active power (watts), and power factor.
The benefit of using metered PDUs is the ability to properly distribute and balance loads between circuits in the power strip.
Metered PDUs are important tools in efficient distribution of power for safe equipment operation.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS Flexibility We know how important your rack space is. Thats why we strive to produce high-quality power solutions in a compact size, leaving valuable U space for other network-critical devices. This also allows the power sockets to be placed close to the equipment being powered, reducing the nuisance of cable clutter. Circuit Protection All circuit protected power devices use UL 489-listed circuit breakers to manually control on/off operation for groups of receptacles. No fuses are used which allows the unit to return to service quickly and easily. Visual Indicators For easy power-on indication, each circuit breaker features an LED power-on indicator, and each circuit is clearly labeled to help simplify load balancing. Rugged Frame All power strip chassis are made of one millimeter galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish. This rugged construction allows for mounting in a variety of environments.
Very Narrow Power Strip at 1.73 Mounts on the vertical rail, and is out
of the way of valuable rack space.

DC POWER SOLUTIONS
One way to achieve energy efficiency is to utilize DC Power instead of AC power.
Eliminates the conversion process of changing AC to DC
(reducing heat, which is a primary driver of HVAC)
Servers or blades equipped with direct power supplies:
Operate while producing 20-40% less heat
Reduce power consumption by up to 30%
Increase overall reliability
Greatly reduces the need for system maintenance.
System efficiency gained by the use of DC power versus AC power is approximately 28%!
DC power provides greater ride through and uptime reliability due to the power plant installation.
