    Recommendation

    1. The participant of this study was the students of Junior High School, so thefurther study can be done at the same level or the higher level Senior HighSchool because different atmosphere of the study will offer diverse result.

2.The English teacher of SMP Negeri 8 Kendari should increase their strategyto improve students mastery of past tense in order to get the maximal resultof writing recount achievement.

3.The teacher should provide an opportunity for students to have an extensivewriting practice in the class and give students more writing assignments.

4.There are still others factors which affects students achievement in writingrecount such as the students motivation, their interest in learning writing, their health or frame of mind on the day they took the test, the frequency of

practice, their writing habit, etc. Therefore, further research which takesthose factors into consideration should be conducted.
