Power of PrintExhibition, Awards Ceremony & Cocktail Reception
MAY 14, 2015
Welcome to the 2015 NeoGraphics Awards. This past year, the power of print has become more evident. Direct mail, catalogs, and other printed products are on the rise, and our industry—once considered on the decline—is roaring back. The evidence is clear: print is and will remain a powerful tool for marketers. Tonight we are here to celebrate not only the best-printed work of the year, but also some of the best people in our industry.
On behalf of the Neographics committee, I would like to congratulate Pat Buckley for earning the Lifetime Achievement Award, Kathy Atkins as the first ever recipient of the Women in Print award, and Jim Rowland as the first ever recipient of the Rising Star Award. You could not find three more deserving people in the Printing Industry to honor.
Thank you to all of our sponsors and attendees. Without you, this evening would not be possible.
Thank you to all of the judges who spent immeasurable time poring over hundreds of entries. You had some difficult decisions and again did a fantastic job.
This evening would also not be possible without the efforts of Melissa Jones, the Neographics committee and entire GAA staff. Thank you for all of your hard work putting this together.
On behalf of everyone on the Neographics committee, thank you for your support and participation.
Enjoy your evening here at VIE.
Jeff PintofNeographics 2015 Chairman
Patrick has been in the Paper Business for more than 25 years, all in the Philadelphia Market. His friendships and business relationships are based on trust, and a passion for excellence. His involvement with the GAA has been motivated by a commitment to making our industry stronger and more sustainable. He is proud to serve wherever he is needed.
Jim acquired Rowland Printing in 2007 and has been a pioneer in the industry ever since. Jim acquired Taylor Direct to add direct mail capabilities, and then immediately added a digital department to further expand these capabilities. In 2009, Jim made the move into the UV printing world by acquiring Bentley Graphics. 2012 brought on new opportunity when Jim boldly added the newest press technology with the addition of Komori’s GL840 HUV press. This was the first install of its kind in the mid-Atlantic region. At 43 years old, the future looks bright for this rising star.
Kathy began her career at one of Denver’s top 10 Ad agencies and worked her way up to Production Manager. She left the agency to work “behind the scenes” to better educate herself about the craftsmanship of the printing process. It was her technical background, her passion for printing and her desire to exceed Customers’ expectations, that drove Kathy to start AnyColor, Ink. in 1990. In 2001, Kathy purchased Riegel Printing Company in Ewing, NJ. Under her leadership, Riegel’s annual sales quickly doubled and tripled and continue to grow. She feels one of her greatest accomplishments has been building a team atmosphere where her associates thrive and this mindset allows her Customers to consistently Rely on Riegel and Relax!
