POWER OF OUR PEOPLE
Mountain Crane Service is currently working on a major turnaround project at a local refin-ery located in North Salt Lake. These shutdowns require extensive amounts of engineering lift plans, project management, and crane work.
This project required multiple skilled operators, experienced supervisors, a full-time engineer, and safety management in order to perform the necessary maintenance and repair work.
Mountain Crane couldn’t be more grateful of our team and the hard work they’ve put in over the past month. Our people are terrific professionals and couldn’t have done a better job. Mountain Crane is proud of its team for not only completing another successful large-scale shutdown, but for doing so safely, with no time lost, and with zero accidents.

Did you know that we are in the rail business? Mountain Heavy Transport has a rail spur directly into our SLC yard. We have the ability to transload with our own cranes and can transport over the road with our fleet of trucks and trailers. We can also easily handle oversize and overweight items. Mountain offers laydown storage space including indoor storage for weather-sensitive items. Whether it’s a 250 ton transformer or a load of gypsum wallboard, we can make the move ef-fortless with our rail spur. Mountain Crane Service has developed an internal motto, which we call the Mountain Crane Law: On Time, Prepared, Safety Compliant. We value having our employees return home to their families safely each evening. We are happy to have received recognition on behalf of our employees’ efforts to be safe and to watch out for one another.
SC&RA Safety Excellence Award Mountain Crane Service is honored to once again receive the SC&RA Safety Excellence award. This award will be presented later this month at the Annual Conference in Carlsbad, CA.Crane Operator Safety AwardsFour Mountain Crane operators received the 2014 Crane Operator Safety Award from the SC&RA (Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association).
This prestigious award is given to operators who accumulate 10,000 consecutive man hours with zero accidents or injuries. Mountain Crane considers safety to be one of the most important aspects of our company and strives to complete every project with this aspect as a top priority. Mountain Crane is very proud of these operators for excelling in safety as they complete various crane jobs. We are grateful for the opportunity to train the next generation of crane operators.
Congrats to Ryan Neff, Antoine Holmes, Jess Richins, and Jared Neeley!Platinum Safety AwardMountain Crane Service was also presented the AGC’s Platinum Safety Award, the highest level given by the AGC, honoring construction firms who are 25% below the combined average of the OSHA Total Recordable and Lost Time Incidence Rates, and the average (1.0) EMR.
Mountain Crane Service provides a variety of services across the Inter-mountain West including plant shutdowns, steel, pre-cast panels, heating and cooling units, transformers, pools and hot tubs, demolition, windtur-bines, and bridge girders, to name a few.
Heavy Haul service is also available.
Mountain Crane Service employees receive continual training through Op-erating Engineers Local 3 and have their CCO Certification.

Mountain Crane is excited to give away movie tickets to an exclu-sive Avengers: Age of Ultron showing on Saturday, May 2, 2015!
This showing will be at the Megaplex 20 at the District (3761 W. Parkway Plaza Drive, South Jordan, Utah).
This will be the third year Mountain Crane has hosted a private movie screening of a Hollywood blockbuster, and we enjoy the op-portunity to show appreciation for so many of our customers.
Tickets will be given in packs of 2 or 4 or more, if needed to accom-modate a family of the lucky winners. We are excited to see many of our customers there, so make sure to enter as there will be many winners for this giveaway!
