Requirements for control cable are becoming stricter as automation becomes increasingly prevalent. These cables must also perform in electrically harsh environments. The process industry and railway infrastructure are major users of control cable. Our cables are designed for safe and trouble-free operation. Their electrical and mechanical properties are customized for long-term service in the most demanding environments.
EKFR/FKFR 300/500 V designed for permanent installation indoors and outdoors, suspended from a suspension wire, laid underground or laid in water. In enviroment with high demand for flexibility or with vibrations use FKFR with flexible conductor. For control, actuation and signal applications.
EQFR 300/500 V a halogen-free cable which, in the event of a fire, emits low-density smoke that is free of corrosive gases. Designed for permanent indoor installation for control, actuation and signal applications.
EQLR 300/500 V a halogen-free cable which, in the event of a fire, emits low-density smoke that is free of corrosive gases. Ericsson’s house wiring cables do more than just satisfy strict function and design requirements. They have also been developed to provide the best work environment and ergonomics in connection with installation. Indoor systems and installations comprise the dominant area of application for this group of cables. As a result, there is extra emphasis on human-proofing, fire resistance, and the substances that are emitted in the event of a fire.
FK (H07V-R) 450/750 V designed to be installed in ducts or conduits, and as a connecting cable in equipment cabinets. Insulation offers low friction to facilitate running the cable in ductwork.

Ericsson’s portfolio of medium-voltage cables (12-36 kV) consists exclusively of XLPE-insulated cables. Low-density polyethylene serves as the basic material for all variants of XLPE material used in cable technology. Polyethylene has long been used as insulating and sheath material in cables, due to its excellent electrical and mechanical properties. Other advantages include its low specific weight, high flexibility at low temperatures, high resistance to moisture, chemicals, ozone, etc. and it’s relatively low price.

Ericsson’s Universal Cable system is a cost-efficient way to distribute power on a 12-36 kV level that provides a well tested alternative to traditional overhead or underground cables. Universal Cables work equally well whether installed on poles, underground or in water. The advantage of running the same type of cable lowers investement and maintenance costs. Universal cables are at their best in severe weather conditions and rugged terrain without the risk of damage or interruption.

AccessoriesWe have broad experience when it comes to developing, installing and testing vulcanized joints as well as cable terminations for outdoor use or direct connection to switchgear and oil-filled transformers. Transition joints between oil-filled cables and XLPE cables have become an important element in situations where modern cables are being used in older cable systems.
tERmiNAtioNthis termination with polymeric insulator is used for both indoor and outdoor installations.
