Lakshmipat Singhania - IIM, Lucknow NATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARDS
Leadership, at its core, is the ability to map out the best route to success and true leaders
chart a course by inspiring others with a shared vision and create something new out of
the familiar. As the world prepares to step into another decade and India stands at the
cusp of major transforma�on, different kinds of tomorrows are being shaped in every
field. With the right vision comes direc�on, priori�es and benchmarks to measure
success along the way. Lakshmipat Singhania-IIM Lucknow, Na�onal Leadership Awards
have been cons�tuted jointly to honour the legacy and vision of Late Lala Lakshmipat
Singhania, who was a pioneering Indian industrialist from IIM Lucknow. The shared
vision annually acknowledges outstanding transforma�onal leaders, renaissance
architects, change maestros, and outstanding leaders. Today, these awards have grown
in stature and counted among the most pres�gious in the country.

This year, at the Lakshmipat Singhania-IIM Lucknow
Na�onal Leadership Awards held on 9�� December
2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, a gli�era� of
poli�cal leaders, corporate heads and torchbearers
from various fields ideated and got together to
commemorate the finest in the fields of 'Science &
Technology', 'Community Service & Social Upli�ment'
and 'Business'. The award gala was an outstanding
success with a�endance by audiences that comprised
of senior poli�cians, bureaucrats, diplomats, business
execu�ves, thinkers, commentators and analysts.
The chief guest at this gli�ering ceremony was
Hon'ble president of India, Shri. Ram Nath Kovind,
who delivered a rive�ng address and felicitated
torchbearers from various fields. Speaking to the
luminaries, he said “The Lakshmipat Singhania Awards
recognizes the leadership quali�es and contribu�ons
of the inspiring leaders. Lakshmipat ji was well known
for his entrepreneurial spirit and contribu�on to
business and society. It is indeed befi�ng that one of
the country's premium management ins�tu�on, IIM
Lucknow and JK Organisa�on have come together to
ins�tute these awards.”
Shri. Bharat Hari Singhania, President, JK Organisa�on
commemorated the winners and spoke warmly about
the 130 years long history of JK Organisa�on and its
outreach in the remotest areas of the country. He
further stated that the world looks up to India for
solu�ons in the global issues like sustainable
development and green energy. Shri. N.K Singh,
Chairman, Jury, LPS-IIML Awards; spoke about the
credibility and reputa�on that these awards have
gained. Furthermore, he was reminiscent about how
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam had suggested that apart from
recognizing leaders, youth leaders should also be given
the recogni�on. Therea�er, the awards have been
categorized into two broad categories of leaders and
youth leaders. Smt. Archana Shukla, Director, IIML
Lucknow in her commemora�on, vocalized about the
exemplary work of the awardees in their respec�ve
fields and the strong impact that it leaves on the
society and future genera�ons.
The luminaries who won the pres�gious awards in
the field of Science and Technology was Padma Shri
Dr. Srikumar Banerjee, a dis�nguished scien�st
in metallurgy and a Professor at
Department of Atomic Energy in
BARC, Mumbai. The winner of
the young leadership award
was won by Dr. Amit Sharma
for his pioneering work
in Biological Science;
he heads the elite
Structural and
Computa�onal Biology Group, Interna�onal Centre of
Gene�c Engineering and Biotechnology, Delhi. For
community service and social upli�ment, Dr. Bhushan
Punani won Na�onal Leadership Award. Mr. Anshu
Gupta was presented with the young leadership award
in the same category. The business category award
went to Ms. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, MD of Biocon. The
young leader award went to Mr. Puneet Dalmia, MD,
Dalmia Bharat Group.

A GATEWAY TO CULTURE - MOROCCO BUSINESS PARTNERS MEET Marrakesh hosted the 5�� Interna�onal Business Partners Meet for the business partners of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. at
Morocco – 'The Gateway to Africa'. Marrakesh is a beau�fully chao�c city, where glimpses of medievalism can s�ll be
seen amid its modern buildings of business. Business partners and senior officials along with their respec�ve spouses,
partook a week-long journey into a blend of tradi�ons, modernity and adventure steeped in rich history and culture
flushed with natural, historic and architectural wonders. The meet was memorable for its business vision, achievements
and the milestones of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. The growth path shared by Smt. Vinita Singhania-VCMD, Dr. S. Chouksey-
WTD, Mr. SK Wali-WTD and Mr. Sumit Malhotra-CEM; aptly cra�ed the vision statement. Business Partners and their
spouses were awarded in different categories for their excellent work.
The Morocco trip also saw the business partners and senior company officials from various parts of India ge�ng
together in teams at a break-out session organised at Agafay Desert. The breathtaking view on the canyons of the
majes�c desert of Agafay was an ideal place to admire the se�ng sun and enjoy balloon adventure. The games
organised at the medieval medinas of Marrakesh, adventure on quad bikes, witnessing the openness of the desert and
the crashing waves of the relentless Atlan�c Ocean at Casablanca were a life�me experience for the par�cipants. It
brought out the excep�onal bonding and team spirit of a larger JK Lakshmi Parivaar among the travellers.
This remarkable meet has been beau�fully summed through this quote ''A journey is best measured in friends, rather
than miles''.

JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. won the well-deserved
'Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social
Responsibility' for the year 2019. Corporate Social
Responsibility is the con�nuing commitment by
JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. to behave ethically and
contribute to economic development, while
improving the quality of life of the work force,
their families as well as of the local community
and society at large. The award is given by Ins�tute
of Directors (IOD) for significant ini�a�ves in CSR
prac�ces and for crea�ng new benchmarks. It recognizes
organisa�ons ability to go beyond the statutory, ethical and
sustainability compliances to achieve higher standards of
corporate excellence. Golden Peacock Award for 'Corporate Social
Responsibility' is to give a�en�on to social and environmental concerns in addi�on to economic goals, and
encourage companies to balance financial profits, economic value addi�on and social good.
On behalf of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., Mr. Sanjeeva Kr. Jha, received the Golden Peacock Award Trophy and a
Cer�ficate. The specially organised 'Golden Peacock Awards Presenta�on Ceremony' was held on Wednesday,
March 4��, 2020, at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
SWINGING BLASTERS - SHRIPATI SINGHANIA CRICKET MEMORIAL TOURNAMENTEach year the Shripa� Singhania Cricket Memorial
Tournament is held to commemorate Late Sh. Shripa�
Singhnia's vision. This Cricket Tournament is organised
across all opera�onal areas of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.
All the teams from various departments and states
par�cipate in the ini�al rounds to qualify for the main
events. This year the finalist were the Head Office Team,
New Delhi and Jaykaypuram Plant, Sirohi Team. An
exci�ng, on the edge final deciding match was held at the
Karnail Singh Stadium, New Delhi on 22ⁿ� February 2020.
All the senior officials from Delhi head office were present to enjoy
and cheer for their favourites at the final match. The atmosphere was
very lively. The excitement was palpable as people cheered and clapped on
every fours and sixers hit. There was a group of supporters for each finalist team. The
�ght compe��on, the lively stadium and cheering made the game a very memorable one for all, as the game went
on with gusto.
Jaykaypuram, Sirohi team came out victorious under the captaincy of Mr. Amjad Khan. It was a moment of pride for
Mr. Pushpendra Singh Deora as he was declared the man of the match amidst the cheering crowd.

CHALLENGERS ON THE TURF - ZONAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT,EAST ZONE To create bonding, be�er understanding
and coordina�on among employees
and trade, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. for
the first �me organised inter-state
cricket tournament for the East
Zone. Cricket inspires the best in
teamwork and sportsmanship. The
appeal is great for the audience
and the par�cipants alike. All teams
from Chha�sgarh, Madhya Pradesh,
Maharashtra and Odisha par�cipated
in the ini�a�ve for all the team building
and harmonizing.
The State teams were represented by their
respec�ve dealers, business partners and
employees. The tournament was held over two days
on 1�� February and 2ⁿ� February 2020. Mr. Debashish
Sen - Zonal head was present to flag-off the tournament and
facilitate the winners. It's the pace and rhythm of cricket that invited
good response in terms of enthusiasm and cheering. The event saw a thunderous applauding and fun all around.
A�er much fanfare, Team Maharashtra was declared the winner of the zonal cricket tournament amidst applause
and ova�on.

EXHIBITING SUCCESS - STHAPATYA, GUJARAT JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. has been a forerunner in
myriad marke�ng ini�a�ves. It has successfully
provided a blueprint for a�aining these
marke�ng objec�ves. One such ini�a�ve was
its effec�ve par�cipa�on in the Sthapatya
Exhibi�on, 2020 at Surat, Gujarat. 'STHAPATYA'
exhibi�on is one of the popular and oldest
exhibi�on brands in India, holding exhibi�ons
on Building Materials, Architectural and Interior
products. Every year the exhibi�on is very
well received by architects, engineers, builders,
contractors and end users. Presently in its 23��
Edi�on, the STHAPATYA 2019 was organised from 20��
December to 23�� December 2019 for 4 days. Promo�ng the
most modern and latest products and sharing the same with the
community at large, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. displayed an array of
cement and value-added products along with TSC Services. The company's
corporate philosophy was rightly exhibited with insights on what makes it a preferred premium cement brand in India.
The event was a great success with a foo�all of approximately two lakh visitors. JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. stall was
inaugurated by renowned Engineer Mr. Jalil Sheikh. The stall was visited by Mr. Suresh Holagi - Sr. GM Marke�ng; Mr.
Kalpesh Shah - GM Marke�ng; Mr. Bhagwan Jethwani, Mr. Sapan Avarani, Mr. Vishvas Hirpara and other team members
from South Gujarat team. The stall saw a surge of visitors genera�ng queries and conversa�ons about the products. The
widespread interest in the company's products, rightly embodies the growth trajectory of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.
VIJAYPATH - ANNUAL DEALER CONFERENCE JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. east region organised its Annual Dealer Conference on 8�� January 2020 at Hukum Lalit
Mahal, Raipur. All the dealers and business partners from Chha�sgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and
Jharkhand were invited along with their families. Best
performing dealers were awarded for their outstanding
performance in FY 2018-19.
The awards were conferred, and the winners were
selected area wise and state wise. This star-studded
awards ceremony was brought together with
special cultural ac�vi�es and entertainment
program. It featured performances by prominent
ar�sts with main a�rac�on being Bollywood
singer Salman Ali, winner of 'Indian Idol 2019' and
Prince Dance group of 'India's Got Talent' fame.
The meet increased brand awareness and the
networking opportuni�es for the par�cipants. Overall
ADC was a huge success and became a milestone for
more such events to follow in the future.

Team Madhya Pradesh West organised a 'Dealers Get together'
on New Year at Marrio� Hotel, Indore on 5�� January 2020.
During this mee�ng huge incen�ves were given in form of
amazing gi�s to the fans who were declared winners of
"Monsoon Dhamaka Scheme". To honour this event,
Mr. Sumit Malhotra-CEM graced the occasion by
his presence. Other senior officials who a�ended
the event were Mr. Amit Mathur-Zonal Head, Central;
Mr. D N Nagar-Technical Head, Central; Mr. Mayank
Singh- Regional Head; and en�re West Madhya Pradesh
marke�ng and technical teams, sales promoters and dealers
as well as individual house builders.
Trophies were given to all the outstanding dealers. It was easy to
engage the a�en�on with the ubiquity of cultural programs, mimicry, dance and
entertainment games organised specially for the a�endees. Audience par�cipa�on
was encouraged through interac�ve and entertainment efforts. Trophies were given to all
the outstanding dealers. In the end, all the dealers appreciated the Meet and ensured to increase market share of
JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. while taking the brand to greater heights. The meet was an outlet to a sincere effort by the
company to receive feedback and tell a story. These are ways that JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. build trust with all
stakeholders and show its apprecia�on for a long las�ng rela�onship.

DEALERS RENDEZVOUS - MADHYA PRADESH WEST
INFLUENCING THE INFLUENCERS - PLANT DEKHO, ODISHAA�er Launching of Cu�ack Grinding Unit, JK Lakshmi
Cement Ltd. started a campaign, where in, people
from different segments, mostly Influencers, were
taken to the company's plant on a tour. This
program named as "Plant Dekho", selected
dealers from the coastal Odisha. They were
advised to send their prominent influencers
of 16-17 persons in a company arranged
vehicle. There's a lot of emerging evidence of
influencers' transac�onal pull. Influencers have
go�en to the pinnacle of their professional
careers because they actually desire authen�c
professional rela�onships. They respect and
demand originality, hence this group from each
dealer were taken from their respec�ve loca�on and
brought to the plant for a technical tour. Inside Plant, they were taken to the Packing Unit, Silo area, Lab Area.
Cement manufacturing process was elaborated in simplified manner by a team of professional experts.
A�er the intensive tour, they were invited for sumptuous lunch and gi�ed tokens of apprecia�on. Henceforth,
they were dropped at their respec�ve loca�on. Around 900+ influencers took benefit from this program and this
created a very posi�ve vibe in the market by boos�ng confidence in our product and value addi�on to the brand.

It's important to have a strategic framework that's guiding
your marke�ng endeavors and objec�ves. One such
campaign 'Customer Month' was launched with an
objec�ve to understand the consumer psyche. The
campaign was started by the technical team at
Rajasthan and West MP markets on 15th January 2020
and con�nued �ll 29th February 2020. The campaign
was focused on the end customers with the purpose to
educate them regarding the construc�on material and the
benefits of the brands and products like JK Lakshmi PPC & Pro+
Cement, Brahmastra (Water Proofing Chemical).
The team behind 'Customer Month' Campaign, wanted the customers
to realize the best quali�es of the products to achieve greater results. That was
the main reason to design the whole product experience for the consumers
through queries and interac�ve sessions with technical experts. The marke�ng strategies involved end-to-end
marke�ng ac�vi�es. One such ac�vity was 'Ask an Expert' involving knowledge-sharing session on designated day
and �me slots, that involved sharing some best prac�ces, �ps, and uses during the discussion. There were aggressive
methodologies designed for the customer delight and immersion.
