Pottery of the Native American Southwest ARTS/ANTH 250 Class Exhibition Catered Reception Saturday, October 26, 2013, 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Alumni Hall 111 This is a Family Weekend event sponsored by the Native American Studies Program Parents and families are invited to meet Native American Studies Faculty & Students Students in the course Native Art of North America have chosen Southwest pottery from the collections of the Longyear Museum of Anthropology. They have researched their selections and written illustrative labels. The pottery includes examples from many Pueblo cultures – including Hopi, Acoma, Zia, Jemez, and Laguna – as well as Apache and Navajo vessels. They date from prehistoric times to the present.
