DESCRIPTION

Maastricht School of Management (MsM) boasts an extensive portfolio of international capacity building projects, both for the public and private sector and works extensively with international donor organizations such as the European Commission, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the World Bank. Activities are in fields as diverse as food security, water and energy management, government reform, higher education, and private sector development in Asia, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Central Europe. The projects vary from one or two-week training programs to multi-year commitments. As a business school focusing on management education for professionals of developing countries and emerging markets, but with a home presence in the heart of Europe, MsM has developed an impressive network with businesses working globally and in the Euregion. This is a true reflection of our belief that the interplay between the classroom and the “real” world of management is essential for true learning. On Tuesday 24 September, from 1:30pm to 6pm, MsM will organize a knowledge exchange event featuring a broad range of project management activities around the world: from the establishment of a business school in Yemen, to how to work in present-day Egypt, to doing business in the Indonesian growth market, to combating female genital mutilation in rural Ethiopia. MsM experts, alumni and business relations will give simultaneous presentations in parallel sessions, enabling participants to join the workshop of their choice. Three rounds of workshops will be organized and the day will be concluded with an informal drink and opportunity for networking.
