EISMA brings renowned Chicago area musicians twice a year to present live educational concerts in ALL Evanston D65 schools, Rice Education Center, Park School, Pope John XXIII, and St. Athanasius. Proceeds from this event will go directly toward our Fall 2016 series featuring classical music performed by Kontras Quartet and the Spring 2017 series featuring folk music of the middle east performed by Turath Ensemble.
Halfstache members are performing live from their debut EP of original compositions available late October. Members include outstanding ETHS music graduates Simon Ciaccio, Leif Opland, Tony Mest, and Michael Werner, who was awarded Outstanding Soloist at Purdue Jazz Festival, Evanston Jazz Festival, and New Trier Jazz Festival; first prize winner of Music Institute of Chicago’s Billy Strayhorn Composition Competition, and plays trumpet for the Manwolves.
