Many Program LocationsNYU Langone Dental Medicine has affiliations with more than 340 sites.

• All clinical training sites undergo CODA accreditation.• For organizations with multiple sites, residents are

typically assigned to a “primary” site & others serve as “minor” or “supplemental” sites or residents can be assigned full time to each of the sites.

• Sites are actively involved in resident selection process; at least 4 or more residents placed.

• Dentists are credentialed as AEGD program faculty.

NYU Langone Hospitals Clinical Training Sites

Responsibilities of Clinical Training Sites

• Provide direct & indirect faculty supervision for residents; general dentists & specialists.

• Provide auxiliary support (>90%), equipment &supplies.

• Integrate residents into the clinical practice.• Provide residents with panel of patients and required

clinical experiences consistent with program requirements & CODA standards.

• Evaluate residents & monitor their progress.• Include residents in quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Training Sites

• Minimum of 40 hours per week schedule for residents.

• Provide resident meeting space.• Participate in meetings scheduled by program

administration.• Prepare for & participate in CODA accreditation

activities.• Point of contact at site must maintain regular &

routine communication with program administration.
