LED/OLED Lighting Technology Expo is an international exhibition that gathers all the manufacturing technologies for LED/OLED Lighting such as thermal solution, power supply technology, wafer/chip related technology, etc. Exhibiting spaces were divided into specialised zones such as Components/Materials Zone, Power Supply Zone, Thermal Solution Zone, Lighting Apparatus Technology Zone and Equipment Zone. Various business meetings were conducted during the show period in all of these zones. This year, two new zones Optical Solution Zone and High Brightness Technology Zone were launched to meet the need of the industry.

LED/OLED Light Expo gathers all kind of lighting fixtures. OPTO Tech, IRIS OHYAMA INC., MEITON Co., LTD, ECO TRUST JAPAN CO., LTD. and other leading companies presented their latest technology and products here at LED/ OLED Expo. Architectural design firms, construction companies, enterprise users and distributors visited to seek lighting fixtures. This year as three Japanese, Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura who have invented the blue LED inventors won the Nobel prize. We are reminded the greatness of LED and what it will bring us in the near future. It is said that LED lamps holds great promise for increasing our quality of life. Accoriding to Fuji Chimera Research Institute, the market size of LED will keep increasing and there is only a bright future awaiting.

Held next to LED/OLED Expo, Design Lighting Tokyo gathered lighting designers with their various types and modes of lightings to realise comfortable environment and creative space design. One of the highlight exhibits were lightings in Proto Lighting area, a venue where distinguished prototype of designer lightings were showcased. Here visitors seek collaboration such as commercialization and outsourcing of the design. Many of the products were filled with original ideas and concept.

Conference: Next and inside the exhibition venue, various talks and conference sessions were held. Speakers from global giants and academic authorities provided tips and ideas for future business and outlook of the lighting industry. In total 53 sessions took place during the show period attracting 1,958 visitors.

At one of the keynote session, Jeffery Cassis, Senior Vice President of Philips Lightings gave us his idea on delivering the promise and potential of digital lighting, followed by Professor Ching W. Tang who introduced the audience the progress in OLED Display and Lighting Technology. The topic of the conferences varied from lighting technology to ideas for creating space design.

Highlights of LIGHTING JAPAN

~ Opening Ribbon-cutting Ceremony ~ The opening day of the exhibition was one of the highlights. Executives of leading companies in the LED/ OLED industry as well as top management of major design firms, architects, high government officials and executives of industry associations attended.

~ VIP Party ~ On the first night of the exhibition, VIP Reception Party was held. Our attendees appreciated this event as the best venue to meet and network with worldwide LED/OLED lighting industry leaders including Ribbon-cutting dignitaries.
