Mumbai, December, 2014 – UBM India’s largest business event catering to the Indian Pharmaceutical industry, CPhI/ P-MEC India 2014 successfully concluded on the 4th of December 2014 in Mumbai. Touted as one of the biggest Pharma event in Asia, this is a platform wherein key players of the pharmaceutical sector, worldwide, congregate to connect, share and ideate.
Spread over three days the event which is co-located with P-MEC India, ICSE India & BioPh witnessed participation of 1087 exhibitors from over 95 countries representing China, Turkey, Japan, United Kingdom and USA among

international platform to showcase pharmaceutical equipment, machinery and technology to a forum of decision makers from across the world. Additionally, ICSE India has rapidly gained a positive

Overall the report shows that despite moderate growth in last few years, Indian companies seemed to be showing strong sense of growth and positive market sentiments in near future. Indian pharma is pitting itself to be among the top players by the year 2020. Most companies from India involved in outsourcing and exports sector are already showing promising growth as per the report.CPhI has been a key presence in India for a number of years and the event is an essential cog in internationalising this pharma hub. What’s been most impressive is the ability of companies in India to constantly develop themselves through new services and technologies. These findings and trends clearly show India is cementing itself as the global centre of generics and manufacturing innovations. Over the next few years, many of the companies present at CPhI India 2014, will grow into global entities supplying both western and developing markets.
