The Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Summit became an example of a visionary approach of the Government of Gujarat towards inclusive and sustainable development. The Seventh edition of the Summit provided enormous prospects to the State to display and foster its strengths, progressive stand, initiatives taken to improve E- Governance, investor friendly climate and also host Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.

EMPOWERING THE NATION being the prime focus, the key areas for development identied included: Innovation, Sustainability, Skill Development, Knowledge Sharing and Networking. These major areas infused through more than 50 events organized under the aegis of Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Summit.

The Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Trade Show was transformational and revolutionary - both in its coverage and scale. It took place at a completely new State-of-the-art Convention centre admeasuring 15 domes spread over 45 acres of lush green landscape. It provided a platform for various states of India and other countries to cooperate and explore attractive business opportunities.

The 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show - 2015 was organized at the Exhibition Centre, Near Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 7th to 13th January, 2015, on a scale of 1,25,000 Square Meters.

Introduction:

This is a matter of personal satisfaction as I have seen the evolution of this platform since its inception. It has transformed itself from an Investment Promotion Exercise to a Growth Propelling Event.

Transcending state Boundaries, the Summit has emerged as a signicant national and international platform for sharing of knowledge, ideas and innovation.

The 7th Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2015 was jointly inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Smt. Anandiben

Patel and Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister for External Affairs, Government of India.

During the inaugural speech, Smt. Anandiben Patel said that Gujarat is the synthesis of Trade & Tradition and Commerce &

Culture and it is very well reected in its social life.

Hon'ble Chief Minister stated that The 7th edition of VGGIS is moving towards becoming a gateway to dazzle the whole

world. Gujarat has hoisted the ag of good governance across the country and abroad. She also added that the pride, power

and potential of Gujarat is clearly seen today. Smt. Anandiben Patel shared that Gujarat has decided to make every effort to

realize the 'Make in India' dream of Shri Narendrabhai Modi.

Smt. Anandiben Patel recalled the rst VGGIS held in 2003, which exhibited only 33 stalls and proudly informed about the

present exhibition which has 17 domes and 1300 stalls. She said that this is the result of commitment and hard work to make

Gujarat an investment destination. She added that today Gujarat is showcasing its commitment to become a leader in

innovative products manufacturing. This Global event has become trend setter for many states and countries today, she

proudly added.

Hon'ble Chief Minister shared that the Trade Show develops rm trust among international companies and forms a bridge

between buyers and sellers. She informed that more than 2000 companies are showcasing their products and about 2400

international delegates from 150 countries have come here, which shows the strength of our country.

During her speech, Smt. Anandiben Patel informed that in this trade show the focus is on women and young entrepreneurs,

as we want them to partner in the global economy.

Hon'ble Chief Minister informed about the different pavilions and attractions of the Global Trade Show. She mentioned

about the 'Statue of Unity', the tallest statue of the world. She also expressed her condence by saying that the laser

show giving the glimpse of Gujarat's development will reveal the vibrancy of Gujarat.

Showing the eagerness to welcome new entrepreneurs, Smt. Anandiben Patel said that Gujarat is a policy driven State

and added that this is a 'Win Win Situation' for everybody. She stated that at this Global Trade Show, several major

initiatives and pace of the world including innovation, technology, management, human resource will be seen.

She thanked all the States of India, Government of India, Foreign Governments and all the participating companies for

becoming partner and making this event a Grand Success.

to visit maximum exhibition halls in the stipulated period of time.
