Position Overview

The role will provide support to the planning and design department across a range of areas including, statutory planning, strategic planning, sustainability planning and urban design. In addition, the role will be responsible for reporting on the progress made for integrating sustainability within Council’s planning system.

Duties and Tasks:

work with your supervisor to develop a project work plang

ain an understanding of the role of statutory planning

gain an understanding of the role of strategic planning

gain an understanding of the role of sustainability planning

conduct supporting duties to enable each of the above teams meet their business objectives,

review existing reports and processes relating to the integration of sustainability within the planning syste

monitor and track the implementation of sustainability within the planning system,

prepare a report that identifies status of actions from key implementation reports
