RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Three year postdoctoral fellowships are available to work on the molecular mechanisms of oncogene function, regulation, and cooperation in Dr. H. Land’s Laboratory at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, London, England.

Two main areas of research are being pursued, The first concerns the function and control of the myc oncogene. The second involves the analysis of the molecular mechanisms that underly oncogene cooperativity between ras and various nuclear oncogenes. In particular, we are presently isolating genes involved in controlling different aspects of oncogene cooperativity by genetic complementation. The function and interaction of these genes in the control of cellular proliferation and differentiation will be studied.

Candidates should have experience in molecular biology, recombinant DNA technology, and tissue culture. The fellowship will be tenable for three years. Salary range is f14,OOO to f 17,000 depending upon qualifications and experience.

For further details contact: Dr. H. Land, on 011 44 1 242 0200 ext. 2240.

Application should be made by sending full curriculum vitae with names and addresses of three referees to The Recruitment Officer, Imperial Cancer Research Fund, Lincolns Inn Fields, London WCPA 3PX, quoting ref. 27/R. Smoking is actively discouraged.
